I think this is a great idea. The community has been a bit volatile lately, and this is a good step in a better direction for all of us. Not only do I think this will help AH grow due to involving the new players in an easier to learn atmosphere, but we can all get a free 3/4 month here and there as well. If HTC wants to pay us 10$ for helping to bring say 10 guys into the game, they'll make a bunch of us happy, and add 150$ a month to their company, which can only make things better for all of us.
whoever came up with this one, great idea.

Just read it. Great idea.
-
WOHOOO Im gonna be a millionere !!! :D
Seriously though, it is a very good idea.
Can anyone be a trainer?
-
I don't see how anyone could lose from this. A great idea. Certainly there will be those who never have to pay to fly AH again :D and justly so for their contributions to helping out so much.
-
Now little Johny, fly stright and level for me like a good cadet.
GUNS! GUNS! GUNS!
Alright, lets do that again, practice makes perfect, stright and level for my guns :D
Na just kidding. I think its a great idea also :)

positive addition
:)

I like it. They should add a dual control capability, so that the instructor can fly along with a student via "join" and take the controls over while screaming "whaddaya tryin' to do, get us both killed?" on a private voice channel.
:)

This is the best idea I've ever heard!!!! Now maybe I will signe up for the MA and get a little discount :)
-
Great idea!
I hope that trainers and cadets get a few radio chanels for this purpose.
It would be nice to enable this in the CT as well.

So what would be considered a "veteran" aces high player?
By Fire Dept. standards I am a rookie in AH (8th tour)
So, what are the standards or are there any?

Now that was a very intelligent move,
HTC.
-
Sounds good but I hope they can monitor all the phony accounts who say their friends helpped them. Hope it doesn't get exploited.
-
This is an exclellent opportunity to add the AT-6 Texan to the planeset as well as the PT-19 and other trainers :)

Not sure if this is what you mean, but it is only valid for new users. I.E. eternally quitting players can't rejoin each month and give someone a 10 buck credit. If you're talking about getting a bud to sign on who was probably going to sign on anyway, more power to you. Those guys will be money in the bank for you so to speak.

This is a very good idea, this is a fairly hard game to learn.I had support from my whole squad after moving(albeit we was all basically newbs),and it was still hard as heck.I came close to quiting several times, but glad i stayed, starting to like it:)
Get em trained, get em getting kills, and they will be hooked, money in the bank, good idea guys.Keep them thinking caps on.

Looks like a great program ! about time
I wish we had this a month or two ago when i has hauling Fighter ace 2 players here left and right . . and teaching them how to fly a real sim ... (just my ussuall luck )

This SUCKs@
well not really. its a great idea, but this thread was getting too rosey.
-
Great idea!
HTC...

sounds like i good idea.
when i first started it was like searching for the holy grail to find the info and help i was looking for.
I would like to see a dedicated training night happen some time.
this trainer by appointment just does not work for alot of folks. due to conflict in sched's
if we had some folks to sit in the training arena for an hour or so on a thursday night or something. it would be more helpful.
could maybe pay trainers that put in so many hours a free month of ah? verified by email sent by the trainees?
so do we have a training schedual? if we do i am not aware of it and i know that new pilots would not know of it.
anyhow very good idea. keep up the good work!
-
So, what makes someone a "veteran"? Everyone with a paying account, or is there some minimum requirement? Hours? Rank? Nice teeth?
-
Teeth? Ya gotta have teeth?

I like it
So after I've trained a buff pilot, do I get to give them a nice degree signed by Sally Struthers :D
-
"Train a buff pilot"????
If any buff pilots need training, they should seek an easier game... like maybe "You Don't Know Jack"...
