Yes IF you get tossed from HTC Main Arena you will indeed loose your perk points.

Wierdness is when I get to arena selection screen after - I see all arenas and the ping, but MA (which just tossed me and my spotlesstempest again) is  --

Im not gonna ask for resorered points. Ill make more.  I have to demand that if you have a perk system, that the perk system works.

respectfully submitted

"Demand" is a big/powerful word.  How do you plan to follow through with said demand?

When I first started AH about 6 months ago, I got enough perks to get my first Me262 and promptely got booted 1 minute later.  Same thing happened to one of my squad mates.  We both wrote to HTC explained to them what happened and next time we logged on we had our perks that we lost from the boot back.

I'm sure a nice email to HTC explaining the situation would have fixed everything, instead of posting one of these "demand or else" posts on the bbs.  You ever hear the saying that you get more flies with honey than you do with vinegar?

i think this is a real problem... if the game can tell how many discoes you have surly it can be tweeked to allow points not to be removed from score...I know some how you will have to overcome the altf4 trick..

i too have fallen victim to the perk plane disco problem..

Heheh I know what yer sayin Turbot
I lost like 800 pts in a 2week span of time to discoes while flying a 262 hunting buffs.  Each disco my bird was untouched and undamaged, and that's the rub of losing the points.  I wouldna be too worried about it if I were in a shot up bird limping home to try to land.

Hell one of'em happened on the rearm pad while I was turning around to hunt more buffs.

OK, so there's Joe Dweeb, flying in his first 262.
He gets in a bad situation, what's to prevent him from pulling the plug in order to save his perks?

Didn't you know there is a mucho bombastic big bug  in the ME262, causing always discos when you fly it with less than 400 fighter perks:p  :p

The perk systems work well. If you do not land your perk ride on the runway, you loose your perks. That is fair to all.

In case of a server boot or connection crash, it should be handled more generous.

But if somebody have a crappy ISP, he shouldn't blame HTC for it.

I can honestly say I have never lost any perk points in this game. I don't believe in the perk system and have never used a perk plane. As long as the "average", or worse, planes continue to be "free" for my $15.00 I don't have to be concerned in the least. Just ignore perk planes and there is no problem.

Disco's on the other hand are still a problem.

I've flown 3 perk sorties.

262...landed ok, no kills

C-Hog...killed by nobody...invisi kill :D

262...disco after 3 buff kills and no damage.

I don't fly perk planes in the MA...they're bad luck for me  :/

I usually avoid perk planes also, not because they're bad luck but because I don't have enough time in them to ever get really good with them.  I hate the thought of practicing off line just so I can get used to flying a plane that I'll only fly once in a while on line.

Zipity, you can fly them in the training arena too, a nicer place to get used to them with some actual combat involved if so inclined.

Here's the way to solve the problem.

If you are undamaged and greater than 10k (lateral distance and/or vertically) from any enemy, a disco should not cause you a loss of perks or the 1/2 death. Simple, right? Probably not so simple to implement though. Nonetheless, that should resolve the issue to everyone's satisfaction.

My regards,
