I've been experimenting with the various marks of the Spit modelled in AH lately and have come to the following conclusion.
High Tech Creations people have done an excellent job of researching the flight data and characteristics of these aircraft! According to the first person accounts I have read by RAF pilots and Castle Bromwich test pilots the early Spits were much more agile and easy to fly than the late war models. AH has ably translated reality into virtual reality. While the Spit XIV has the performance necessary to mix it with the other late war planes, it is not the delight to fly in dogfighting manuevers that the Spit V is.
Thumbs up to Hitech, Superfly, Natedog and the others!

But....but.... The tire pressure is overmodeled, and the color of the antenna mast isn't quite right.
Sheesh....darn cheerleaders.

Popeye,
Sheesh! I make one little post and get branded a cheerleader! I wouldn't be caught DEAD wearing one of those outfits and waving pompoms!
Actually I prefer the Hellcat!
Just wanted to congratulate the HTC staff on a job well done.
They get too many complaints as it is.
