Title: What am I missing on Ch.1?

With the proliferation of threads complaining about all sorts of immature, and anti-social behavior on Channel 1, I'm wondering why anyone tunes at all.

My first action when I log in, is .squelch 1. And I'm happy. If someone that I tangle with has a problem with me, I never hear it, so I go about my merry way.

Now, I only squelched 1 in the beginning to clear my text buffer of useless blather. I was more interested in my squad and country communications.

So I must ask, what is positive about Channel 1 that keeps people tuned to it?

The occasional good-humored banter can be pretty funny, and of course sharing a or a is nice... but these are becoming rare (I think it's more to do with mass-squelching than poor sportsmanship... I hope anyway)

But in an arena of 400+ the text buffer is not big enough to handle all that stuff these days.
