Canada is like an annoying little brother trying to hang out with US while we're just trying to have a relaxing evening with Mexico.
:p
-
Maybe we'll get lucky and have boobies on our new money!
-
America is like the dumb bigger brother that is always getting you in toejam. He keeps pissing people off through his ham handed actions...but what can ya do. :o
-
I swear to god, it was all Mexico's idea. And they might've gotten Alaska to go along with them, but the rest of us had no idea.
Honest.
-
Heheh :D

Swell. MPC :(

LOL, Maybe now every so often we will get to see Canadians and Mexicans standing at the wire, oops I mean border, throwing handfuls of script and calling us names. :D :D :D

Americans ARE stupid. That's probably the real reason behind the change, so the less intelligent among us can tell the difference between the bills by thuh purty colors!
SOB

Read the article, it cites tourists (e.g. foreigners) being unable to differentiate between the bills as the primary catalyst for the change.

Thrawn, isn't it true that the majority of Canadians can not even tell you who the people pictured on their money are?

I guess it would depend on the age group being questioned.
Total majority though, I doubt it.
Canadian bills though have been changed twice in my life time though. We incorporate technological changes to keep it difficult to counterfit.
I once heard that the average Canadian was more familiar with US geography then the average American was though. :D

Ever wonder why the menus in California have lots of big pictures?
-
MrBill. The more I think about that the funnier it gets.

Bah, learn to make some REALLY decorative bills & coins.
take a look:
http://www.banrep.gov.co/emision/50000/50000re4.htm
Click on the denominations and select "ANVERSO Y REVERSO" to see the front/back of our bills.
The scans they have there are quite bad in quality actually, the real bills are very crisp and colorfull.

Probe a la "web site" Tac. El diseno de los grabados es muy hermoso. Gracias por el "link". Saludos.

No toejam. I said the "real" reason, not the reason stated in the article.
