Title: Bombsight blues

I am running AH 1.09 version on a PC w/Windows 98SE. I cannot bring up my bombsight on any of the bombardier aircraft. I hit the F6 key and get to the bombardier position. Then hit "0" on the number pad but nothing happens. I have removed and reloaded AH from scratch several times but no difference. All other aspcets of the sim are fine. Any suggestions?...CJ

About all I can think of is make sure numlock is ON . Sorry I can't be of more help.

On the clipboard, go to setup, keymapping and check what key it is set to.  

If it is set to numpad 0 then try setting it to a different key to see if that works.

First, thank you Grizz and Furious for the swift reply. Grizz, I tried it w/number lock on and off, NFG :-(.  Furious, my View keyboard mapper reads: View Bomb Site Mode........F6. I have looked for a designation for "0" on the number pad in all the keymapper catagories and found no listing. What does your keymapper have for "Number pad "0" ?......CJ

You are looking for "Look Down" in the "View" list of the key mapping.  It should say "KEY_PAD_0".  If hitting 0 on the keypad causes you to look down, it is set properly for bombsight use.

    Your accessment was correct 8-). I followed your instructions for keypad "0" assignment and that was it ! I now hit key F6 then "0" and can look down through the bombsight. Thank you very much. And thank you to all who responded. all........CJ

Hi cjcobu,
 Also once you are looking through the bombsight don't forget you can hit the "z" (Zoom) key, you can then adjust your field of view using the "[" & "]" keys.

You might want to read my Level Bombing Tactics (http://www.netaces.org/ahbombing/bombing.html#title).  It's only good until 1.10 comes out, but lots of good stuff there for you.
