Hi all,

i could never find a source which explains the strat system in Aces High.
As i will be shoot down this evening for sure i like to ask a few questions , just not to to die in total stupidity   (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/wink.gif)

1.What does it take to close 1 of the 4 factories at City?

1.1 Whats the result if 1,2,3 or all four factories down at City?

1.3 What does it take to down barraks at City + what is the result?

2.What does it take to close Headquarter center building?

2.1What is the result?

2.2What does it take to close ammo bunkers there ?

2.3What's the result of closing ammo bunkers at HQ, will 88 run out of ammo at HQ then ?

2.4There are more targets at HQ, what are they good for ?

3.What does it take to close 1 of  the ammo factories at Ammo Complex?

3.1What's the result if 1  and  if both are closed?

3.2What do small fuel tanks need to go down, what large at Ammo Complex?

3.3What's the result of bombin fuel tanks there?

4.1 What's needed for Ack Factory?

4.2 What's the result of 1 or 2 or all 3 of them down?

4.3 There are fuel + ammo bunkers at Ack Factory, what do they need + result when down?

5.We have Training Complex with barracks + ammo bunkers there.Are the TC implemented in the game yet?
5.1If so , what bombload do targets need + what is the result in the game?

6.Same questions as before concerning Fuel Factory

7.A last question: How long will bombed stuff stay down?

Instead of answering each question I'll better explain the strat system:


Radar factories > Field radar
Fuel refineries > Fuel tanks
Ammo factories > Ammo depots
Grunt Training > Barracks
Flack factories > AAA

Factories have also no specific targets, each target (even if different size and type) gets the same percentage of factory destroyed.

Field target downtime is 30 minutes (15 minutes for hangars).

Dunno if HQ and factory downtime still defaults to 30 minutes.

to add to what Az said:
the HQ takes 20,000lbs of eggs to take down.  5,000lbs for each step of radar removal.  Default downtime is 30min and the only way to increase downtime is to flatten the city (max 2.5hrs downtime (city 100% flat) (30min (default downtime) * multiplier (4 for 0% standing) = 2.5hrs downtime))

City buildings also affect the rebuild time of factories.  Factory downtime is default 30min (I think).  With the city 100% flat rebuild time becomes 2.5hrs, same as the HQ.

Factory buildings affect rebuild time of items at fields.  Take the fuel refinery to 0% and hit the fuel tanks at an airbase and the rebuild time on those tanks becomes 2.5hrs instead of 30min.  I'm not sure how much the city being flat affects the downtime at fields.  I believe that taking the city down to 0% just gives you longer to flatten the factories and then hit the supplies at the fields, for a max downtime of 2.5hrs on anything.

Default city building downtime is 1hr, with no way to increase it.

I know of no way to increase the downtime of hangers.

And to add to that... it's my understanding that you need to hit the city *before* you hit anything else if you want that to effect the build time of those other targets.

It wont do you any good to split your group into two (1 for the city, and 1 for the HQ, for example) if the guys take out the HQ before damage is done to the city.
