This was a jap suicide bomb that actually contained a real life pilot :eek:

Damn, the ideas some people had are quite frightning.

Thinkthis would be a good aircraft in AH for those that dont like flying back home after a sortie, the one way ticket pilots :)

Called Ohka by the Japanese

Allies called it 'Baka' or 'Fools bomb' if I remember correctly

It was carried under Betty bombers

Only sank 1 US DD - USS MANNERT L. ABELE

Imagine you are a newly trained jap pilot fresh out of pilot school ready to do battle to honour your country.

They lead you out to your new plane and its one of thos things!!  lol

"Sir, i dont see any cannons on the wings"

"Dont worrie son you wont need them it carrys explosives"

"really? when will they be loaded?"

"They ARE loaded"

"hmm ok so how do i drop the explosives?"

"Easy, this baby is so simple to use, just aim your aircraft at the nearest target and go full throttle"

"Ok and at what alt do i pull up?"

"You dont"

"Baka", means "Stupid"....

That's a legacy from my ex Japaneese girl friend when I was buzzing the water to scare the gators in the Florida swamps :D

I cant find this amusing or funny... the Ohka is one of the stupidest things created... please do not add this to AH.

yeah, the whole idea kinda frightens me...the fact is that we're lucky we ended the war before some of this stuff got into production....
and by the way, the helmet was so he didn't hit his head and miss the target, that and...i dunno...prolly noise protection
