I read several months ago that they weren't far from closing the doors. I'd hate to see people lose their jobs and money, but if they were to close the doors, we'd have a big influx of WB'ers which I think would be a good thing. I'd like to wing with some of the old timers that I haven't seen in a long while. Anybody got the scoop on iEN's situation?

Their graphics code is way better than AH, at least in the Bomber department.
If they have a super price marketing brainstorm, and FM code that makes planes fly like they are unstuck from mud, who knows.
I'd try it again.

I think that'll depend on their boxed sales. Simon & Schuster is selling WB3 in a box with some extras over the download version. They probably got a bit of $ up front for that deal, and likely will see a small cut from each box.
My guess is they got an decent short-term infusion from the slight stock run-up and wild bill's buyback to gain control. Right now they are burning through that rapidly on hope that the box sales will give them a return in terms of more customers and some box revenue. I know they have recently contracted some outsiders, and have begun moving the sim forward at a quicker pace. Whether that's quick enough remains to be seen.

Well, it wouldn't exactly be a big influx ;)

Getting rid of slush-mode flight model, adding AH strat or better, financially compete with AH, then I'd try it again....

I don't remember how the FM was when I compared WB and AH offline. I just remember being more impressed offline with AH in general and then that nice free 2 week trial sucked me in. :D
Is it really THAT mushy? Why is it mushy anyways? What's the rationale behind that?

Speaking of IEn, why is AGW locked to new registration?

"I read several months ago that they weren't far from closing the doors."
Replace "months" with years. The demise of WB (whether it is iEN/iMOL/whatever) has been predicted for years. Seems they are always on the edge of collapse.
Someday it might actually happen. *shrug*

Aren't you forgeting AH's top notch suport?

Midnight, AGW isn't run by iEN and registration was turned off by Argo (The moderator) due to abuse. It will undoubtedly open again at some stage. (It has happened before).
Oh..and what Spitboy said.

imagine running bungee cords, instead of cable, from your stick to the control surfaces. That will give you the idea.
