Looks really good at idle, not so good at high RPM:D A bit slow.

WOW! Those sound like my Jap sounds on the Ki-61, A6M, And Niki! LOL

Blue, I'd love to have ur sounds, post them here pls, my email cannot handle big files. As far as them looking like a japaneeze engine, maybe, but they are extracted from the F4U wich as u probably know is the "same engine" as the P47.
