Title: saitek x45 just installed, no ailerons, wtf?
Post by: onyer6 on June 29, 2002, 12:51:18 AM
Win98se. Used the supplied drivers. Most things work, but I do believe I've lost my ailerons, though they work fine in EAW? Some setting I'm missing? I've removed my MS S pre pro. When I call up the js in control panel and hit properties I get an error message about no supported software? I've calibrated within AH.

Do you have the version 3 drivers?

If not, get them.

And go into AH, go into setup, joystick, and set all the inputs again.

Hi!

Check out Ron Hunts very good unoffical Saitek Hepl Pages (http://saitekhelp.simhq.com/SGE%20Start.htm) .

From there you can get SGE version 3.0 plus find tons of good information how to this and that with X45.

:)

Title: update

After a second reinstall they weren't working until after I calibrated. Though I checked out Ron Hunt's excellent page, the current install goes better than the older one he described. We'll see how this plays out. I think I had ailerons on my original install and somehow lost them after programming some buttons. Thanks y'all. See ya inda skies....

Well, it's my experience that you don't need no stinkin alerions. Somebody will just shoot them off anyway.:D
Of course, this could be from My COMPLETE & TOTAL LACK OF ABILITY as a sim pilot.

No really I have an x-45 but I don't know how to help you out.

Sorry

LOL! My first time back at AH with the new stick I found I needed neither ailerons, flaps, engine, prop or tail. I found the windscreen invaluable  though, for keeping the burning debris outta yer face so's yuh can watchyerself auger in w/o any visual obstuctions.....
