Title: What to use to change cd music to wav file?

It's been a while since I did this. I used to use winamp, but forgot how I did it with winamp. Ideas?

There's plenty of RIPers out there, but you can actually do it via winamp.

Go to Options -> preferences -> plugins. Choose the Nullsoft Disk Writer plugin and whatever you play with winamp will be saved as a file.

To save as a mp3 file, choose "configure" from the plugins directory after selecting the disk writer plugin.

Then click on "convert to format" and choose MPEG Layer 3 with the quality you want.

When all is ready, press play and the CD track(s) will be converted.

there are freebies out there but I use MusicMatch.
came with my Dell
