Could be Il-2 too; hard to say.

Photo probably taken during the Korean War by what appears to be a North Korean star on the wing of that plane.

My guess by that would be an IL-10.

It is a Korean era (1950) photo, N Korean AC. I won't say just yet what the caption under the photo says this  because I am not certain it is correct just yet.

I'm quite sure it is Il-2. If you look at Il-10 you'll see air intake in the wing-root in left side and plane ammo did post doesn't have one. It also looks like Il-10 in pic has a small fin under the tail thought I'm not sure if it depends about sub-model.

IL-10

the caption says its a Yak 3, but after studying it a little, me thinks its a IL-10

Thats a Soviet "Bear" bomber.  I have forgotten the letter/number designation.  I think its either the fastest, or almost the fastest prop plane in the world (~550knots).  Its the Soviet equivalent to the B52.

What makes you think so? After all it doesn't have air intakes in wingroots like Il-10 have in the pic I did post.

i thought the XF84-H was the fastest prop plane...but of course it was never a real service plane

Heh looks like my first guess was right :D

Anyway just to be sure. Whole landing gear system in those planes is different: in Il-2 they swung straight back like in DC-3 while in Il-10 wheels turn 90degrees and by doing so they fit inside the wing (Like in F-4u and P-36/P-40).
