Well not all of you but all the girls who run away like cowards, then turn around when i'm engaged and vulch me. You suck, you have no honor, you are the epitomy of dweebiness. You stink, no, you stink alot!!!!
Honor you say, its only a game you say. Well lifes a game too you, you play it to win. But winning without honor is not winning at all, without honor your just another opportunistic loser who will eventually fall by the wayside because someone more dishonourable will out dishonour you!!!! haaaa
A honerable person can never lose however, because if your honourable, then you've already won anyway. haaaaaaa

Sorry, but every WWII Pilot who was a ace with more than 20 kills only become a ace because he decide well when to fight and when to run.
If he saw it was a very diadvante combat situation even the biggest ace run away and not engage a fight he only could loose...
All pilots who engage every enemy in any situation never become aces, they become only dead in one of their first tours of duty....
Sorry, but when Im in a FW at 10.000 face a P51 at 15.000 I also turn around and run, because its no chance to survive this.... :D

Running is an option that should *always* be kept open, and I have no problem with anyone that chooses to run if the fight turns bad (although I *might* taunt them on ch 1 to see if I can get them to stay)...
But it *is* just a game, and whenever *I* see *any* fight that doesn't look like it'll degenerate into a gangbang I'll jump right in--disadvantage or not. I might just learn something from it. I know I ain't gonna learn nuthin' from running.
The only time I ever worry too much about staying alive is in a scenario.

Very transparent. Rude, you can't seriously consider something this staged.
This whine looks like it is more derived from a mathematical formula than a heart felt WAAAA.
I mean... you have almost everything in there: Lotsa exclamation points, a pointless argument, an insult towards both honor and body odor, excessive use of angry faces at the end. But you forgot one thing: YOU MUST USE ALL CAPS FOR AT LEAST ONE SENTANCE!!!!... not just two letters.

On a serious note, i'm kinda serious, if you see someone engaged with say 2 or 3 enemy, why dive down and vulch. What i'm saying is there is a thing called respect and giving someone a inkling of a chance. Diving down into a 3 on 1 to kill the 1 is spineless and immoral even in a computer game.
Unfortunately it happens too often in the MA.

If I knew that doing it would result in someone starting a thread to whine about it on the AH forums, I wouldn't hesitate for a second to dive in and kill the helplessly ganged lower plane.
For that reason alone, I do it as often as possible. You just never know.

Who said something about real World War II pilots running when outnumbered. Theres hundreds perhaps thousands of cases where pilots have been outnumbered and still come out as the victors.

zygote ive dived into fights already in progress a few times but I would generally leave them to it if its 2 on 1 or more.Mainly because if you do shoot it down those same 2 guys will continue to shoot the wreckage and take the kill anyhow,not worth the loss of height or E.But there are times when i dont care how many are chasing, like its a clear oppertunity, eg the enemy is slow and stalling or the other guys are so useless they cant hit a barn door :)
Also if its a nik it DIES!! and besides it NEEDS 3 or more to catch the damn thing :)
as for running then reversing back into the fight when advantage turns, hell thats what every p51 I see that comes in from alt does.I hate it but what is their option? reverse too early and they'll generally die.
frustrating? yep. dishonourable? er.. nope. sound judgement? yep.tad dull? YEP. :)

Boy I wi9sh you could have seen Tac's world class rant in the MA this afternoon. The P-38 ..on and on and on... blaa blaaa. At one point he stated he couldnt understand why the p-51 pilots complained enough about their precious AC and HTC fixed it, but NOONE cares about the P-38.. I told him he gets my vote for whine of the week. He was really good.

Theres nothing more lame then seeing 1 guy persued buy 6 enemies.. i dont care if its my team or enemy, its lame none the less.
Unless of course its a any Nazi AC, La7, or a N1k2. What am i thinking, thats 90% of the MA.. :o
As far as bouncing, or using hit and recovery tactics id say thats the most intelligent way to fight.

Nothing wrong with that at all :) But if it is a N1K2 down there it's a mandatory gang bang. It says so even in the AH readme.txt

They did it all the time, every day and every side. Particularly when seperated from the rest of the flight/squadron. Though, in situations like a fighter sweep, where a specific mission objective wasn't at stake (protect or shoot down the bombers, etc.), not engaging was a habit mentioned frequently (they didn't see us, we kept going). If you reread most of the "outnumbered stories you'll typically find two things:
1. They couldn't escape and had to fight,
2. or, they had a position of advantage at the start of the fight (e, surprise, much better plane) and the ability to disengage at will if things got really tight.
Many BoB fights took place without these conditions, but the "do or die" nature of the battle, the fact the outnumbered RAF pilots were at least engaging in squadron strength (to provide additional encouragement) and the fact that they were only a parachute away from their homeland certainly helped. The only pilot I have read about who seemed to try and state: "I never avoided a fight, unlike other aces..." was Stanford Tuck, who spent most of the war in a POW camp (a little too much recreational strafing for no strategic value).

Some people would like to enjoy the game. 2 vrs 1 is unavoidable, exceptable even. But when you got a train of people chasing someone, its unsportman like and discusting.
Going higher is no good zygote, youll find the same thing up there but itll be BnZ attacks from 3 enemies insted of having TnBers on your 6 for 25 miles.
