Title: Training gunsights and gunning a buff formation - <scratches head>

1. I can't find the rocket and divebomb sights - how do I eneble them ??

2. I have read in other posts about swopping to other buffs in the formation to gun - is that possible and how ??

but to answer your question:

the new features in 1.10 need to have keys mapped to them
they are:

air show smoke (only works offline and TA I think)
calibrate bomb site
mark bomb site
jump plane 1
jump plane 2
jump plane 3
jump plane 4

so go to clipboard/setup/ keymapping find the above functions and add your own key map to them.

I loaded it in my P-38 and it does nothing...
I was assuming it was going to be a floating sight that would rise up on the HUD for sighting rockets and bombs... ( like the old red X sight in AW. I also read that it was only going to be available in the TA and offline... but it does'nt work off line... It is just a generic gunsight like many I have downloaded from players websites...

Is it a bug or is it just another fixed sight ?

Post by: guttboy on July 04, 2002, 11:49:29 AM: I am not sure BOOT buddy but I think that the dive sights only work in the offline mode...I will give it a shot and then repost here.....also airshow mode smoke DOES work but only when HITECH enables it in the arena. IT is pretty damn cool :cool:

Still can't find the training sights - are they in the "gunsights" list in setup ?? - if so I can't find them.

they new sight works for air to air. air to ground. as in divebombing AND level bombing. it's a little green arrow that goes (for bombing) exactly where ur bombs would land. and if u use the tab thing and highlight someone. it will show u were to shoot for deflection shots. i think it even calculates how the bullet's drop. works for rockets too.

Go to the Training Arena, take off in a bomber, jump to ext view. You'll see a green X below your plane on the ground. Thats exactly where a bomb dropped from your plane will hit.

Use it to calibrate with.

BTW in my experience, if you calibrate hold it longer, like 5 seconds. and you'll get much closer.

HiTech says that the game has one, but does not explain its use or how to enable it.

Can someone post up this info please?

To enable the dive bomb site and lead calculator site offline you must hit esc. click setup, then arena then flightmodeflags. Double click on fightmodeflags and you will have a list of check boxes for each of these things.

Happens time to time to me too. Dunno why but just restart AH and thats it.

Post by: icemaw on July 09, 2002, 04:29:06 PM: the training sights are on in the training arena up a buff or a jabo with eggs in the fighter you must select the bombs you will see a green x below the plane this is your ccip make your dive put x on target and release. allso works with rockets cept the x will appear right in front of you instead of below but only after you have selected your rockets and or bombs. buffs will see the green x all the time when bombs are loaded.
acording to another post I read if you have calibrated your level bombsight correctly the green x will converge with crosshairs when over target.
as far as using them offline I havent tried that but they work in training arena.
