This dog found himself involved in a catfight. Some F6F Hellcat thought he'd get an easy lunch out of my F4F Wildcat. I thought I was toast too but he overshot and I guess didn't quite have the zoom available like he thought he would. Interestingly, it seemed as though the Wildcat's guns weren't all that powerful but then after a bit I started slicing the Hellcat apart. I never did see any smoke come out of the Hellcat...I'd like to see this new particle smoke system.

Better not spray and pray, look how much ammo you have, lol

Yes, I was low ammo and low fuel trying to head back to base as it was. But a Wildcat can't really dictate the terms of a fight in terms of forcing it or ending it by running and that Hellcat really wanted me. With six guns, the Wildcat leaves a lot of tracers, but I was nailing that Hellcat all the way up in the climb and at first (as I had stated) it seemed my bullets were enemic but then parts started sawing right off the Hellcat. If I recall, he lost both wings and the whole empenage to his tail. Since then, I've had some good luck with the Wildcat but I can't view any of my films with the patch to 1.10 so I can't take any more "ego" shots.

is it just me or are mg's more powerful...

I don't think MGs are more powerful. It seems to take me many hit sprites before I can take anyone down whether I fly an F4U, F6F or F4F.
The pics above may be misleading because they are just snapshots in time. That Hellcat was taking hit-sprites galore before parts started to fall off. But once they did, that Hellcat fell apart good.
