880 Fleet Air Arm just went on a couple of no icon Zeke patrols in the CT.  Apart from providing for highly intense action, we found that we suddenly had to fly much more historically than even with limited icons or friendly only icons.  And this plane set is perfect to try it.  Very easy to tell Japanese from Allied at a distance.  Try it!

You are absolutely correct... even before icon range I knew if it was friend or foe, and turning off icons does make it interesting in a furball, you have to think and look before you squeeze the trigger. The white on these jap birds is just as good as an icon imho, i saw that before icon range.
