Title: External Aircraft Sounds

Have all external eng values set to 100%, the aircraft I fly eng sounds set to 16 %.

when I go to the runway with eng off external aircraft sounds ( off line testing here ) are pretty loud :) , I then start my eng and external sounds drop off fairly dramatically but I can still hear them then they just go away, I climb to 3k or so turn back into the drone formation fly up to one of the p-51's-can't hear external eng sounds of the p-51 till I'm about 200-300 yards away?

System is and Abit K-7Raid
1 gig AMD processor
S.B. Live
Win2k O.S.
Dx 8.1
Mitsu's Latest Sound Pack

Ideas? Anyone else have this or are external sounds just hard to get to work?

i find i can't hear external engine sounds over the rear channel on an SBLive, just the front channel...
