Title: Another permasquelch request

Was there ever an official comment as to why we don't (or won't) have permasquelch?  Everyone knows that there are several players who never have anything good to say.  Why must we manually squelch them everytime we log on?

I would also like to have the option to squelch channel 2 for those nights when all the little generals come out and feel the need to shout orders.  Sure you could squelch the generals, but then you still get several people arguing with them, and then you'd have to squelch them etc. etc.
