Okay, so some say "V-sync off" and some say V-sync on...cons with off is you might encounter "Rubber bullet syndrome" that used to be prevelant in the old days...
Now with a new Geforce 3 128mg card, I am wondering, what would you run?
V-sync on or off?
How about the FPS in the AH FE? 40/60 or unlimited?

I run "unlimited fps" in AH, and leave V-Sync on.
I can't see any reason to complain about "only" getting 85 fps(my monitor's refresh rate) at 1600x1200x32 @ 2xFSAA. :)

Braggart! ya know, I should skip the con and upgrade! But then I wouldn't have an opportunity to meet many such as Baxl! :)

Rip.
Radeon 8500 retail
1280 32bit colour..
With vsync on I get constant 74 fps
I turned vsync off and get 120 to 170 ish.
But there is no appreciable difference in what you see..only what the frame count says.
However. with the new map I started getting "terrain stutter" when I rolled. So I turned it off last night and it went away..
I didnt notice any difference in rubber bullets etc...
hope that helps

Thks guys, I doubt it will help (I'm certain the CPU is the bottleneck) but will uncheck V-sync to see if any improvement.

Hey Rip, just think of how many upgrades you could do if ya sold that pretty BMW in your garage. Btw, which model BMW did you get? I'm starting to save for a 330ci, but don't know if I'll ever be able to afford it.
