Here's my gunsite contribution, it's a 8 diamond version which has green diamonds highlighted with a pink glow. :D

The corresponding alpha file is in the reply thread below

If you're not sure what to do,

1. place both of the above files in the "c:\programfiles\aceshigh\sights" folder.
2. open aceshigh and click on setup, then sights, and choose the above default001.bmp as the gunsight for the perferred plane.
3. goto the runway with the plane you choose the site for and check it out :)

Where did you find the instructions on how to make a gunsight?  I'm using Photoshop and every time I make one it just turns into a white box online.  Is there a tutorial posted somewhere?

BTW- fun flying against you and Frenchy the other night

I made my sights by doing what weasle had suggested above. Ammo had made some nice sights which I liked. I downloaded them, modified them a little bit, I.E. I repositioned the diamonds and modified the diamond shapes, then used the new sights.

I use micrografix picture publisher and am able to save the color mapping. Ensure the file you are working with is some derivitive of 128 pixels Hieght n Width, I.E 64, 128, 256 etc... I would not suggest going over 256 pixels though. I have a couple of the AH site colors "mapped", using different names, and can pull em up when I want to use a particular one.

BTW, Hitech, can you please bring back the "fixed" gunsite, maybe have some kind of key to turn it on/off  ;)

Agreed wotan, I understood the alpha site concept much better after reading mason22's how-to.
