this may have come up before, but i haven't seen it here on in manual.

when in the panzer turret, the gunsite seems to have no real telescopic effect. zooming in using arrow keys helps only a little. the gunsite site is just a round spot taking up 25% of my screen. i can see just as far from the pintle gun.

am i missing something here?

Use Z key and the [ ] to zoom, just like in the bombsight or any other view

thanks skurj,

tried that last night, still got a small circle in the middle of my monitor. can't see chit. remapped the key and everthang.

kinda taking the fun out of tanking.

Something not right, you should be able to zoom right in so you can see 3 or 4 miles easy.

well, hitting 'Z' does nothing.

hitting ] and [ does nothing.

hit Z to toggle zoom, (Check your keymaps if you changed it)

While in zoom mode, use [ and ] to adjust the amount of zoom.

i'm still not getting any zoom. Z, [ , ] don't do anything.

You can always re-install AH, as I did for the same problem.

ok - uninstalled AH, downloaded latest last night.

Z, [  and ] do not function in the turret. even tried remapping them.

maybe a HTC guy could weigh in here? :confused:

KG45 what is Z mapped to in keymapper?
and does it work in aircraft?

Hey Boss,

Hmmmmmm, Z for zoom works in every pos for me.

Probably a stupid rookie statement, but have you hit "home"
for default view, then hit "Z" for zoom, then "]" to zoom in?

Dunno, just sounds like you're overlooking something simple.
Hope ya figure it out :confused:

ok, tried the above suggestions. the 'Z' does nothing in planes or tank.

hit 'home' before 'Z' -neg.

i remapped the commands to keys to thier original keys. -neg.

KG45 go to Setup, Keymapper

Look under VIEW settings, and look for Toggle Gun Zoom and see what is mapped to it.

father down the list is a command 'Default Zoom' or something like that. that is what i was using and trying to map. not 'toggle zoom'
