season tix should be in the mail soon. Usually get them about a month before the season kicks off. :D
Eagler, no one wants your icky Gator propaganda around here. Well, save for Sept 7th. I swear I'll wear Blue and Orange then! Wait, I have no orange... oh well, at least I'll be pulling for the Gators!
-
oh yeah, NCAA 2003 will be out for the PS2 in 2 weeks! :D not as exciting as actual games, but it does well for a substitute during the week after the season starts. ;)

You forgot the rest of the fightsong. I'll be nice and put the rest here for everyone to enjoy:
High up in the hills of Westwood
Sprawled offensive to the eye
Lies a Cal extension campus
Known as Westwood High! High! High!
Home to all the Bruin bear cubs
UGLY is their name
Their student body's vile
Their campus is a pile
And their Football team's a shame!
-
As the team takes the field in "spank me" baby blue uniforms?
-
You all know the USC fight song!
Fight on for old SC
Pay your Fee
Get a Degree!
And if you go
To old SC
That means your not
As good as me!
;) :p

Its freakin BRUIN BLUE!
Bruins lead nation with 86 NCAA team championships
When it comes to athletic success, UCLA is at the top of the list. Over the past two decades, no school can match UCLA’s combination of NCAA team and individual championships, football bowl games and men’s basketball NCAA Tournament appearances. In April of 1997, Sports Illustrated named UCLA as the nation’s No. 1 ‘Jock’ School.
nanner nanner!!

Hook 'em Horns!
How 'bout dem Boys! :(
And ooh, welcome to the big show Texans! :)
-
hey Tahgut!!! We're talking about FOOTBALL here! Don't go bringing your overall athletics program into this. UCLA had a dominant (understatement!) basketball program that boosted all those championships.
hehe, UCLA bowl record... FSU won the same number of bowl games in a row ('85-'95) that UCLA has won in their entire history (11). ;) Before you say "you didn't play anybody in those bowls!"
From '85 to '95
Oklahoma State, Indiana, Nebraska, Auburn, Nebraska, Penn State, Texas A&M, Nebraska, Nebraska* (national championship), Florida* (Sugar Bowl rematch of 31-31 tie), Notre Dame*.
* = I was there! :D
now, hblair can come in here and talk about Bama's 29 bowl wins! ;)
-
Well dammit Nifty! You can't expect me to bring up those heartbreaking pieces o crap that play Bruin football!? They will beat anyone in the country, and have repeatedly, except when it matters.
1995 Bruins are 7-5 beat Miami 31-8
1999 Bruins are 8-0 ranked #1 and LOSE!!!!
-
Shhh don't mention football to hblair. He's upset that Bobby is going to join JoePa surpassing that coach they used to have up there that was pretty good or something apparantly. A couple of times he's been so upset that he even blasphemed saint Bobby, but I know it was just the stress and he didn't really mean it.
-
So I'm guessin Hblair roots for Auburn?
:p

How many national championships does bowden have?
;)
-
See? That's what I'm talking about.

Hey, I gotta hold onto something fatty. :)
Out of interest, how many nat. championships does Bobby have?
-
OK.
I'm pretty sure that War Eagle bait will work on Hb.
-
hb, 1 more than all Bama coaches combined since Bear. :p
hehe, no one's saying that Bowden is better than the Bear. Especially Bobby. (on passing bear's career win total)
"It's a funny thing. It's something you nearly need to get out of the way. It can become a distraction," the 72-year-old Bowden said. "And it sure doesn't mean Bobby Bowden is in the same class with Bear Bryant."
However. :) Bowl records (just with their big school, not counting previous schools)
Bear: 12-10-2 Bobby: 17-5-1 (4 of the 5 losses were for possible #1 ranking)

Bah! Compare schools man. :)
Bama Bowl record (http://www.rolltide.com/Football/4752.asp)
12 national championships (http://www.rolltide.com/Football/4751.asp)
21 SEC titles (http://www.rolltide.com/Football/4759.asp)
I look forward to when bowden retires, so FSU will start suckin again and you guys will have to choose a new school. ;)

Here's more on the #1 Jock School in the Nation:
UCLA is the only university to produce an NFL player who has helped his team win three consecutive Super Bowls -- Ken Norton, Jr. -- and a quarterback who has won three Super Bowls in four years -- Troy Aikman.
UCLA was the first university in history to win seven consecutive football bowl games. UCLA has played in the Rose Bowl game in five straight decades.
I know it's not football, but it is the real American sport:
UCLA has the longest streak in NCAA history for consecutive winning seasons in the sport of men's basketball, a record that is now over 50 years in length dating back to 1948-49. No other major program is close to that figure.
