Been playing around with the demo (feels strange to have to recover from a spin with no magic button :). Its been awile) I cant figure out how to center JS though. Dead ban is way to big on my SW FF Pro.

Get a copy of AH with the original
FM. You will find out what I mean, real quick:)

I can recover from a spin just as easy in Il2 as I can in AH.
I can ride the fine line between stall and pushing the envelope in Il2 just as easy as AH.
I can also prevent a complete stall from happening by audio cues in Il2 just as easy as I can in AH.
I have a track of me flying an I16 and doing manuevers, stalling and getting out of it, and even stopping a stall just as it happens.
I can post it tonite if you want to see it Easymo. It's close to 300kb non-zipped, prolly closer to 200kb zipped.
EDIT: Oh, you have the demo.... buy the full version and patch it to 1.1... it's very different from the demo.

yup, the full version is a totally different animal.
It rocks for a boxed sim IMO.
too bad it isn't mmpog
-
I wouldn't say it rocks as a box sim, as the only part that I *REALLY* enjoy about is online.
Maybe if it had a better campaign system (sure, you can make campaigns... but beyond that- it blows. No wingmen who can die, no way you can be captured, killed in action, or miss a couple missions because you were busy "walking back to base", etc)...
Basically, I despise the "campaign" section... hopefully they will have improved on that by Forgotten Battles.. still buy it, but damn, if it comes in a box, put a decent freaking campaign system in it!
[end rant]
It is impressive, but there is no actual depth to it in terms of a campaign.

LOL
what the heck is the point of haveing a demo if its not like the game? Oh well.
-
I stand corrected and agree.
I meant the game itself, coming from a box, is a kick.
but only in hyperlobby or some online forum.
I tried the campaign thing.. yawn

32 planes is what you see in AH, so why is IL2 any less an MMOG?
-
MMOG-> Massively Multiplayer Online Game= hundreds of players.
MP-> Multiplayer.
32 players is hardly "massive"... Doesn't matter how many you can see, how many can you interact with?
Typical Il-2 games don't even reach 32, usually more like 8->14

Easymo, it's called 'updates'. I'm sure you are familiar with the concept :D
