A mouse click "Check Six" feature like WB?
That is the only feature from WB I really miss, man! It was so much easier to call sixs.
I'd call more 6's but it means taking my hands off the joystick to do it, and if I'm trying to clear someone's 6, the plane goes outta control while I'm tryin' to warn the guy, causing me miss the line up.
I dunno how hard somethin' like that is to code, but my belief is it's worth every second it takes ya.

<takes hand off stick, tries to find mouse while looking at screen>
<tries to locate mouse pointer and place it over friendly>
<tries to click while over friendly>
<removes mouse cursor from midde of screen so it does not obstruct view>
<releases mouse, hand back on stick>
<compensates for out of trim (no CT here)>
Instead of
<presses button on throttle>
<finds first two or three letters in name and types them, combined with a number near 6>
<back on stick>
<compensate for out of trim>
Dunno which will be faster for me. Probably mouse when I get used to it, but I hate having that cursor in view.

Hi all,
Milnko I agree, especially with some of the handles we get in the arena. By the time I get the radio up and start to type I have no idea what the guy's handle is anymore so I just give up.

when in dought, this is what i type.

so everybody looks, maybe a few more see a con there I did not even know about.
I know everytime I see 666666
I take a look, well ok, not everytime.
hell I dont even take a look when I see my name and 666666, I just know I better get this guy I am chasing fast or I will loose the chance when I loose my wing.

Guys, we are supposed to do better than WBs right? My suggestion is that we forget about clicking on a friendly and giving just a dumb ol' 6 call. Why doesn't HT just make it so where if you click on the bogey, he just blows up! (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/wink.gif)

as i've had a "shed wings while engaging and 6 calling" event just 2 days agao i'm all for the Mouse click option

How about an addition to the upcoming padlock system wherby if you lock a friendly it either gives an automatic 666 call to him or have a few buttons linked to macros so that you could map that key to your stick to give him a 'XXX chk 6?' possible warning or a definate 'XXX 666!' warning and so on so perhaps we could also warn he's damaged or just use the system to automatically tune a spare radio channel to him just to say hello!
