Hitech, I did what you asked. This isn't finished, I only have 3 zones "tinted" on one team. The feild Icons Look great against it, It's really easy to see. You can see the zones at a glance on the CB map. Heres the work in progress.

Is acceptable by me, what do you guys think about not having any elevation type stuff on the map?

Sorry Nuttz, but it is starting to look like a quilt to me. I think the maps should have a "paper" look.
Again, Dux has made nice CB bmp's. You guys should work together.

Since the elevations of each field can be toggled on and off, I personally have no problem with not showing any relief in the CB map. Also you just can't see threw all the field Icons anyway Unless your zoomed in all the way, and by that time your there anyways:) I'm just trying to Unclutter the CB map. IF you want I can add some elevation rings to show some sort of difference in altitude, but I wouldn't make to many.
Dux's CB maps are excellent!
I have 2 versions of the CB map, 1 is 3d'ed and 1 is not and is done in the colors of an old map, I was thinking of a few folds or crinkles and making it look like a real map of old, maybe even a small "page curl" on the corner where no feilds are.

Relative elavations can be useful when planning a goon route or when trying to see how to get from point A to B while avoiding having to climb any local peaks.
Can you tint the water blue? Having a little trouble telling where the water is.
The smoth surface would make icons show up well. Shrug.
Btw, I love the way Dux does those maps. If you can get a bit more elevation resolution it would be perfect. Especially for planning GV operations.

Hey guys, sorry... it's been a little while since I've looked in this forum. Thanks for the compliments.
Nuttz, let me know if I can help you with anything, by either doing or showing.
btw, I really like your layout. It looks like it could make for some interesting fronts... and it's got enough of a "real" look to it to add to immersion. Reminds me of Ontario for some reason :)
