Ok CH Pro Pedals come with a 3 yr warranty, how kewl!! errmm ok...
I emailed them a coupla days ago about a failed left toe brake on the unit.
They have offered to repair the unti under warranty, but of course I have to send the pedals away... the kick in the ass...
Shipping.... it will cost me well over $50 (canuck bux) to have the repair done....
Whaddaya think? should i just void the warranty and open em up myself?
I know someone out there has made a toe brake repair, if you read this and have done it, please fill me in on the details.

What a coincidence. :) My left toe brake is also faulty on my USB pro pedals. I have an RMA number but haven't sent them out yet. I don't see a "warranty void if broken" sticker keeping me out of the bottom...

If you have a soldering iron and some shrink tube, you can repair it for free.
From my own experience, and from what I've read on the board about these units, the break is going to be at teh pinch point for the left toe break.
All you need to do is pop the sides apart, and look for the broken wire. Solder it back together and put some tape or shrink tube on it and you'll be set. You might want to put some tape on the other wires too, just so they wont break.
I found the hardest part of the whole thing was getting it back together.
It does seem to spike just teh smallest amount when moving the rudder, but my throttle does that too, so I think I might just be wearing them out (not to mention throwing them at times, but I wont get into that :) ).

Make sure you do it when you have a lot of time and no interruptions... putting the things back together is a beeotch. :)
