I've been getting this problem for a couple of months now. The host disconnect box comes up and I'm dumped from the arena while straffing ground targets. This happens roughly once every six buildings and once every dozen AAs. I hardly ever get dumped any other time, jabo attacks with ord and shooting planes is no problem. It hasn't occured while straffing GVs either although I don't do often enough to be sure its not going to.
Assuming this isn't a game bug, is there anything to do with my PC setup that could be causing this? Note, I've already tried removing all TSRs, checked for IRQ conflicts and moved my soundcard and Nic to non-sharing PCI slots.
My PC is an Athlon 1400 on an A7M266 motherboard with 256mb RAM running Win 98SE. I connect using a Zyxel 643 ADSL router via a 3Com nic. Soundcard is an SB Live 1024 and video is a Geforce 3. Any suggestions would be much appreciated, this is really getting on my nerves.

For what its worth, I think I've sorted this now. I did a test by saddling up on an A20's low six at 200 yards and hosing him all over in a long continuous burst. Instant disco. So it wasn't straffing as such, but an excess of hit sprites I guess.
Seems like its cured now though. The PC hasn't discoed during straffing runs since I updated the video driver to Detonator 29.42.

Spoke too soon, its done it a couple more times. Game seems much more stable than it was with the old drivers though.
