M3 "Greasegun" (And this is the ealier M3, not the M3A1 btw)
-
He he, the M3A1 added new meaning to "put your finger in it".

I want one:) :o :D ;) :p

I was under the impression that the M3 was the one with the finger cutout in the bolt. The later gun, the M3A1 had the charging handle as an "improvement".
I put a bit of ammo downrange with both, the charging handle was a nice feature. Both were definately a short range weapon!

Grease Gun, it is:)

I'm pretty sure the hole was the "improvement" as when I first learned that tidbit I remember thinking, "You're kidding?"
This site (http://www.armyranger.com/learn/equipment/weapons/m3_gg.php3) seems to agree with that.
I played with one or the other some years back but I can't remember for the life of me which one it was. It was the first time I fired a full auto weapon. I was dissapointed, I had expected it to be a lot more fun than it was...
(Flintlocks, Barret Light 50's, cannons chambered for beer cans filled with cement... those things are all as fun as you would imagine. Full auto, that got boring in a hurry.)
But, Brady didn't seem to be too picky about it. ;)
