I'm usually late with this kind of stuff for some reason and the topics are usually old. I never hear about it when it happens but I have to post it anyway. I've seen so much about her and Bill that it just makes me sick to know I liked him at first.
I remember seeing disgust on her face and in her physical actions as Bush made probably the best speech he will ever make to our country after 9/11. Ohhh how I hate her.

You really should be sitting down when you read this one.
Gold Star Mothers is an organization made up of women whose sons were killed in military combat during service in the United States armed forces. Recently a delegation of New York State Gold Star Mothers made a trip to Washington, DC, to discuss various concerns with their elected representatives. According to published reports, there was only one politician who refused to meet with these women.
Can you guess which politician that might be?

Don't forget, our girl, Hillary Rodham Clinton, as a New York Senator, now comes under this fancy Congressional Retirement and Staffing Plan. It's common knowledge that, in order for her to establish NYS residency, they purchased a million + dollar house in upscale Chappaqua, NY. Makes sense.
Now, they are entitled to Secret Service protection for life. Still makes sense.
Here is where it becomes interesting. The mortgage payments hover at about $10,000 per month. BUT, an extra residency had to be built within the acreage in order to house the Secret Service agents.
The Clinton's now charge the Secret Service $10,000 monthly rent for the use of said Secret Service residence and that rent is just about equal to their mortgage payment, meaning that we, the tax payers, are paying the Clinton's mortgage, their
transportation, their safety and security, their 12 man staff, and it's all perfectly legal.
How many people can you send this to?

Nothing will erase from my memory the things that I see with my own eyes like the night I spoke of during Bushes speech. That one occation is enough to prove many of the accusations being put agaist here on this topic.

(In the Clintons' case, this amount is $1,100.) Unlike other previous First Families, the Clintons have not accepted any money from the Secret Service, making this rumor not only baseless but particularly meanspirited too in that they are being chided for doing something that they're not yet others are.

Really, I don't like her either, but using stories like this to try to smear someone is pretty lame. The big clue, is "forward this to everyone you know..."
I mean, you might have good luck for a few days, or some CEO's son may send you $1000,...

You posted something else awhile back that was shown to be "rumor". I cant remember but I think it was that Jane Fonda, pow thing that had been floating around the internet for years and proven to be false.

Yes,
The Alderman uses some money but the Mayor uses more but not nearly as much as the governor and so on. The higher on the latter the easier access it is to money and privilage to use it and the loopholes made for those who climb the latter.

Ok, I posted about Jane Fonda too because I didn't like seeing that one either. In the post i also asked if anyone knew it was true and i got my answer but again all the things she had done made me think it could be very true. Like i said in the begining of this post "I'm usually late with this kind of stuff" but you shouldn't be upset with me because of that. I wasn't too upset about the woman she didn't meet with as much as who's paying for her house. I should have posted only that since thats the way i felt. I did not post it in the Gen discussion btw, I simply made a post to direct people here and called it Hillary bashing at the O- club or something. That post got a little out of hand there . heh
Just to clarify my stand on this. I do believe we are paying for her home in NY. I do believe she's a weak, corrupted politician (but no more corrupt than the others ) and can never be a strong enough leader to run a country as powerful as ours.
OHHH, and I still hate her for who she is deep inside :)

I read all that crap already Sandman. Stop sending the stuff over and over. It proves nothing to me about who is paying for the house and it's not my job to prove we aren't.
IMO, a person or their associates who are caught over and over doing something wrong (which means not right or inappropriate) are guilty until proven innocent. How bout you? If your nieghbor stole from you a couple times and something ended up missing again who do blame first? She's a tainted individual and she's going to take some flack from the people who do not like her because of it.... just like her husband, JANE FONDA, michael jackson, peewee herman (LOL) ect ect. They ALL will till the end of their lives and probably sometime beyond. After bill dies i'm sure there will be a documentary about him and i bet there will be more skeletons than roses presented.

I have a few personal reasons to dislike her and every opinion she has, but mostly it's because she feels like she has the right to force her brand of roadkill down everyone's throats. She quite honestly feels that she is so f**king smart that everyone must submit to her idea of a perfect world.
And since she's a lawyer, the only people who actually benefit are other lawyers. The day they hang the lawyers can't come too soon for me. I've got a rope right *here*.
F**k Hillary and everyone like her. Her hubby is just an oversexed clown that must be watched to ensure he doesn't do anything stupid, but she's truly dangerous to America. I don't know about the gold star mother thing. I do know that following 9.11 she refused to see grieving family members. (her constituents BTW). It was only after she got a lot of bad press that she allowed an audience to the little people. She's a bigtoe.

Well, you could make a point that both she and billy are convenient icons, used by the opposition to help focus supporters (their votes and campaign dollars) on a moralistic crusade that shifts focus from issues-based considerations. Given a choice betwen emotion or cold hard facts, emotion wins the vast majority of the time -- marketing 101. The people running these campaigs are very sophisticated, they know exactly how to push the right buttons, particularly when people want those buttons to be pushed. They make mucho $$$ doing just that. No vast "right wing conspiracy" just very effective negative PR. Hell, as proven on this board many times you don't even need facts (they get in the way) -- just a load of innuendo and a rightous headline on the e-mail or Web article.
You could even argue that working hard to villify both he and hillary was the only tactic availiable given B. Clintons success as a politician; his move towards MOR or even "conservative" positions on many issues making his presidency hard to counter by traditional tactics; and the overall strength of the economy during his time in office. In campaign PR it never pays to overestimate the target audience. People believe what they want to believe, the facts be dammed, as long as you properly package the message.
The question now is, who's next? Time for new villians since I don't think there will be a Clinton running for president next election. I mean, the campaignis still getting some milage, but please!
Hard to really hate Gore, I find myself yawning, though I do disagree with his slavish support of agribusiness.

Issues, once you get past terrorism it'll be another hard sell. Even terrorism may be a hard sell around campaign time, particularly with this "Office of Homeland Security" concept.
