why do we even have the 3rd land? for 2 months straight Rook/Bish have not fought
more then 2 couple hours in a day. 99% of the time, they have no fightin between them.
they both are on knits.
id bet of the last 30 resets, Bish have won
27,Knits 2, and Rooks maybe 1. Rooks rather lose reset then fight bish.
Its making a joke of the 3 country MA, just logged off, 90 bish 50 rooks all on 45 knits.
everyday, all day same tune for 2 months now.
sinc bish/rook refuse to fight, just delete 1 of them and make MA a 2 country arena.

Can't say i agree about the 2 country thing, but i am on the verge of logging for the simple reason it ain't too enjoyable at the moment. I left the bish this evening because the swarm would descend and wipe out what little resistance there was... no fun in that, so I switched to knits... you can find 10 enemy or none... not my kinda fun either. Oh and the long flight time can be a b@tch when all your front fields have porked fuel..
Hopefully the strat system won't accelerate the problem. A country down to just a few bases should have a better supply system than a country with ALOT of bases. (with factories in equal states)
My little suggestion, the fewer bases a country has the quicker the rebuild times, the more bases the slower, up to a reasonable max, and minimum of course.

WHAT!!!!
I have 31 kills of Bishes and 19 kills of Knits.
Last reset I was on for the Rooks won (by the Bish capturing a Knit VF admittedly).
Your feelings do not reflect reality I'm afraid.
This Rook has hardly been focusing on the Knits.
-
From what I see is that rook and bish do have a tendancy to gang up BUT when knights have numbers we are normally advancing on two fronts which lead to payback time when numbers change again.
-
oh come now whels, let me guess... this is a conspiracy right? <G>
Rooks tried to save the Knights last night by taking huge number of Bishops bases. We even ended up right by their HQ and bombed the hell out of it. In fact, I was on the Lancaster that destroyed their radar.
But that didn't stop the Bishops to take your last base.
After the reset, it was the Rooks fighting a two front war on the Baltic Map. Bishops took about 4 or 5 of our bases down south while the Knights took two in the north. There was a massive attack on A43 by the Knights which was taken by a overrun.
Ya ungrateful bastid, we tried to save ya last map and this is what we get in return <G> It was fun trying to prevent you guys though. Especially when I surprised an M3 emptying its troops on our map room at A43!! :))

I've got the answer. To control this 2 on 1 MA battle there needs to be 2 or 4 teams not an odd amount. That way its fair by the numbers. If implemented I suggest the 4th team be called The Queens" and all n1k1 broken model flying ,can't get a kill in real plane pilots be sent to it.
-
Whels...
Lol.
I remember my 1st months in AH.
-
i personally prefer attacking bishops
but truthfully, even though my stats reflect the opposite, i usually dont even care what front im fightin on. lately the plan has been to take off from a base far away in a 190, climb to alt, and then pick off anyone i can find alone whether they be bish or knit.
-
Well, Bishop was hell a month ago.
Wait for seven days, power balance will be changed.

HT, please add an end of tour status that shows how many bases were captured by each country and what country they captured them from.
I.e.
Rooks captured 1021 fields. 450 from the Bishops and 571 from the Knights.
Rooks lost 989 fields. 400 were lost to the Bishops and 589 were lost to the Knights.
Also, please put a status up for how many resets were won for each country and who the looser was for each (total numbers)
I.e.
The rooks won 54 wars by defeating the Bishops 23 times and the Knights 31 times.
Maybe with these kind of hard data, people will actually see that the wars are fairly even, even if thir time-zone might make things look differently.
Heck, maybe we could get fancy and put in other statistical data like which countries capture th most fields during different times of the day.
Just some thoughts.
-
The numbers change all the time, time of day seams to be a factor to.
-
My stats:
Tour 19: 247 Bish Kills, 144 Rook Kills
Tour 20: 112 Bish Kills, 182 Rook Kills
It's just your perception. The truth is: In a 3-sided game like this it almost always seems like the other 2 sides are ganging up on you.

Yea, we (knits) been losing badly lately. Partly because of numbers but also cos bishops are mean MFs :)
Bishops are always using the best equipment...there are only N1K2s and La7s all around. They never lack goon pilots. They have always bombers otw to targets.
In knights side we have all the opposite - we have wonderful fiter jockeys but that ain't gonna win the war.
Ok, I like the underdog, last 109 up and fite the odds thing, but that is not for all.
Well, my thoughs only on euro time zone.

Yogi says "This thread is Deja Vu all over again!"
(Pssst! Hey Buddy! Wanna buy a crying towel? We got them in five colors and three different country logos! Just the thing for these sad conspiracy/alliance threads that pop up every 2 weeks! Sob along with your team in style!)
-
When we (Bishops) get Knights, or Rooks down to 3-5 fields, the standing orders are ALWAYS to pile onto the weaker side and ignore the other front.
Waaaaaaaaaaaaah!
-
Just add a 4th country. It will spread the fights more evenly. It would be very unlikely to have 3vs1 gangbangs. More likely it would be 2vs2 most of the time.
... or cut it down to 2 countries!
These gangbangs are never the biggest coutry's fault. It is natural for them to concentrate on one target. It is one of the other two who decides not to fight the biggest and causes the gangbangs.
-
hehe i have many kills on both sides Knight 290 Rook 84 .. have bit more knights because knights are lame and rooks are runners :D
-
recall the other day the knights had almost 120 people online, hmmmm. numbers aint the problem. If U R on only at a certian time try to think about other time zones, I have been on during peak asian/pacific times and i have seen that it ussualy leans toward the Knights, but during eurotimes its toward the rooks and US times its bish. I will say that the rooks and the Bishops do fight eachother regularly I will say that the rooks and bishops have been more orginized during the later parts of the day (EST) I have seen a large number of knights go and attk a field they would have 10-15 fighters (niks,LA7s,and 190s,and P51Ds, all the ussuals) and 2 buffs, and 1 C47 fling around 1k alt EZ kill there. once they lose their C47 they just furball and then within 15minutes its like every knight in the game R right there furballing......hmmm. I wander Y the knights lose a great deal, furballing dont win resets teamwork does.

It's pretty simple really... the knits are more fun to fight. Mostly they do actually fite. the bish are mostly into large numbers, alt and ... timidity. If we have a choice of two good places to fite (a rare thing indeed!) we wil pick the knit over the bish every time since it will invariably have more action. the knits really defend their fields... they act like they believe we are there to take em.

If tehere is someone who plans a Mission with about 20 Typhoon slots, 10 escort slots and some Goons - makes good advertising campaign on the country channel and the mission takes off with all slots filled to the max and some more 'volunteers' flying along will you expect the target base to survive? (so far for Bishop numbers... the secret is in geting people organised) it happened yesterday, it happened before it will happen again. Yesterday after we (Bishops) reseted nits (loosing a LOT of fields to crooks while doing it and facing both rooks and nits during the final attack) the bishops started organised on the baltic map... Rook bases on south fell down one by one. All bishops were cooperating... Then suddenly the cooperation faded and both rooks and nits started to beat us... Numbers are not important! Motivation, organisation and adaptation IS!
-
u mean rooks decided to try for reset win after they helped gang us down to 2 bases? lol, thnks for proviing my point.

mmm this doesnt start with 3 to 5 fields left
it starts right from reset. ive seen it all too often this tour and last. reset map, everyone logs ack on, 1st thing that happens
rooks up to hit knits, bish up to hit knits, none up to hit each other.

I told you in the MA when you went on your rant Whels, that it's all in your head. You percieve it from the point of view of the team you are on.
One thing that is a guarantee, no matter what country you are on Whels, is that you will always be on channel 1 whining about getting gang banged.
If life were fair, I'd have my own private jet and wouldn't have to work a day in my life- unfortunately it ain't and neither is a game where gameplay is decided by human interaction.

LOL!! Whels, wrong again.
There was a layer of Bishops bases, we couldn't even get to Knights bases. We tried to save you by saving the map.
Of course, Knights failed to defend themselves even if we helped.

Well, I suppose it's all relative but, from what I have seen each and every time I have been up is Rooks getting the snot beat out of em from Bish and Kinigits. I have also been up right after a reset and seen Rooks rushing to go on the attack; one group of Rooks going north to hit Bish and one group going south to hit Kinigits; talk about a sure fire way to lose yer shirt!
No, I don't think its the way you describe it at all Whels but, I am equally sure it seems that way. It is frustrating as hell to try to fight and win, and have it come to naught. I fly Rooks, I know exactly what you are saying. Right now, there isn't much balance in the MA, and it gets boring to do and see the same things every time. I'm for either a 2 sided war or a four sided war, just for the hell of it.

squeak slap me with the truth, huh? I guess that's kind of like you not squeaking on open comms about the last time you got shot down, or how you were being gang banged, or how because of the impotence of your country- you believe you are being gang banged.
Maybe the problem is that you just can't stand losing, and the minute you notice something that will give you leverage to complain- you take the opportunity to bombard channel 1 with absolutely rediculous and repetitve statments. Such as how you were outnumbered at a field, or how only the rooks are fighting the bish- while you choose to ignore the fact that the knights all happen to congregate at one field rather than defend two fields or even make a push.
Truth? What you spew is not truth, it's just pointless drivel that makes you feel better because you annoy the toejam out of everyone else by taking one whine and seeing how many different ways you can say it.
Face it Whels, this is just a whine. You can do nothing about the countries, hate to break it to you but there will always be inconsistencies. Hell- it happened in WarBirds with a 4 country setup. One side would group up with another side and fight one side while the fourth side just sat around trying to attack all 3 of the other sides.
You think adding or subtracting the number of countries will make a difference, it won't.
It only gives you more crap to whine about.

FWIW, IMHO, three is better than two or four. YMMV.
-
All I see is red. I don't see the little chess piece at all. ;) I play to have fun, and usually that doesn't involve gamey base captures. Every once in awhile I'll help suppress a field for capture. I have much more fun taking off from a base away from a Knit field getting hit and vulching the vulchers. :D Or repeatedly spawning PT boats and dying 10 times before getting one kill. :p
-
Popeye:
I have never flown in a 2 country nor a 4 country game. I have flown three country games, and the complaints are the same, and the dynamics are the same. To me, AH seems to be a hybrid of WB and AW in terms of the dynamics of the players and their approach to the game, Only it seems much worse in AH.
When yer losing though and can't keep the frustration to yerself that gives the impression that yer whining. Nobody likes to lose, and for some it is intolerable. If there were better cooperation and teamwork, even the side with low numbers can be effective. In short, teamwork sux in the MA, and from what I have seen, many don't seem to mind.
-
pop and I have both flown in 4 and 2 county sims... He is right... 3 is better than 2 or 4.
