Maybe I do things differently (wrong?) but other night I wanted to set a delay of 1.5 secs and realised I couldn't. Basically scene was bombing a large airfield with a formation of Lancs using 500lb'ers. Going to do 2 passes of string of 7 - thats 21 eggs laid on each pass. wanted to take out as much fuel and ammo etc as possible so was going to do one side of field then other. So did first pass throttled well back with delay at 0.8 and pattern only covered about half the feild length :( . well twice that is about 1.6 so said ok go for 1.5 but message comes up syaing max delay is 1.0 (it's actaully 0.99).
Please can the max delay be increased to say 2.0 ??
Anyone else feel the same ?

yeah sounds like a good idea Sparks
How fast were you going btw? flat out?

just increase your air speed to spread out your bombs
You were area bombing..right?
why slow down?

Wotan - a slower speed means a smaller turn radius on the run in so corrections to directions can be made earlier and the plane will settle back to level flight quicker.
Also slower speed means errors on the trigger pull relate to smaller errors on the ground.
Also the true airspeed was quite high anyway as even 150 mph indicated at 23,000 ft is well over 200 true and even at that speed the spread is only half field length - start bombing from 15k and true airspeed is lower - at max power level you wouldn't be able to string 7 eggs acros a field.
It can't be THAT hard to change the program

Doesn't anyone have access to a good picture of a B-17 intervalometer so we can see what the maximum train interval was? I've done some searching on the Net, but all I've found are pictures that are fuzzy enough that you can't read the dial.
