I hadn't played this game for a while and didn't even notice the shore guns. They are a hoot! Last night A41 was getting hosed by a Bishnit task force. They were shelling and bombing and strafing and vulching.
I wasted a few of them with the 37 mm guns but they killed the last one. So I got on the big gun and plinked their CV - no more vulchin'. Then I had a gun duel with a very good gunner on the CA. Fortunately I was a small target and he was a big one. Glug glug. Splatted one LVT then grabbed a panzer and took out the last one.
Yeehaa! Revenge for all those CV vulches I've endured in the past. Nice job HTC. :)

I agree with you totally FunkedUp...I love those shore guns. They are a blast. Once you get the range dialed in the CV is toast for sure. I even sat in one of them one nite and sank the CV, 1 DE, and about 5 or 6 pt boats and LVTs....racked up 6 or 7 kills in the shore gun.

I don’t know who it is, but the bishops have themselves one hell of good CV gunner! Anyone got the nic?

I find some of the batterys are oddly placed.. no overlapping fields of fire. Good fun though when you can get 'em to train.

They are fun!
On baltic map I managed to kill 14 ground vehicles with shore battery during one "sortie" until it was blown to bits by slow learning bishops.

Shore batteries need to rotate more though. It's the rule rather than the exception that an enemy cv comes in from an angle not covered by the shore guns, and then launch a devastating attack before the shore guns hae a chance of opening up.
