Well,it certainly puts a new meaning on 'going postal', although I though Jalabert deserved the win. Being pulled up a mountain by a teammate isnt all that impressive.

That's his job, I think Armstrong would of let Jalabert or Heras win if it wasn't for Beloki behind him.

Someone help pull Armstrong up the hill.......not

Every team does it, Daff; that's why they're on teams. The marquee rider will take the glory for the team in some respects, but it is also the marquee rider that ultimately has the best shot at an overall win, correct? Everyone on the team has their place.

Armstrong is a good rider, and the odds-on favorite this time around. Still, anything can happen.

Oh, I agree Lance is a very good rider..otherwise he wouldn't be the captain :). It just sucks when someone like Jalabert goes on the break solo for 100km+ and then someone (Lance in this case) gets 2-3 teammates to pull him up the last mountain. (And after playing windbreakers, 2 of them are dropped like yesterdays news.)
The worst, though was, was Telekoms attempt to create a stage win for Zabel at stage 2 (or 3?). What's the point of calling him great sprinter, if he needs a train of 4 people to drag him up?. Luckily it failed.

Anyways...there's a lot of mountains to climb yet and while Lance looks like strong favourite, a lot can happen :p
