I'll be flying fully-fueled, fully-armed SBDs from the carrier tonight as practice for Friday's TOD. If you're looking for an easy kill, be in the CT tonight around 8pm or 9pm Eastern. All you'll need to do is be close to the launching end of the carrier and you can collect the proximity kills. Assuming I make it off the deck, I'll be so low and slow that you can have a good run on my six! :)
I might even have some of my squaddies there. Misery loves company!

Heheh... Muahahahaha!!!! This just happens to be the 27th Sentai's squad night! Hmmm.... lol, nah, we'll leave ya alone, getting off the cv will be hard enough! ;) Good luck with the practice, and most important, have fun!:)

Gofaster... you will record your practice section won't you? Edited down to just the "exciting" bits it will probably be interesting to watch.

VF-27's squad night is tonight as well, though we are allied. Look us up if you want, we'll be in just around 10:00 pm EST. We ran escort service with f4f's for the 880 squadron while they hammered a base with SBD's on Tuesday night, and we had a blast.

Actually, I think we had most of the "blast" ;) I should make it tonight as well.

Well, I was able to get on early, around 5pm eastern, flew for a bit, then the wife came home and proceeded to tell me about her day and guilted me into watching some tv with her. I didn't get back on until almost 11pm. I did manage to run a couple of bomb runs, but nothing of much consequence. I think I got one hit on the VH and took out a couple of gun emplacements. I even got a vulch kill with the Dauntless' two .50 cals on a C202.
I did learn how to make the Dauntless drift backwards on the carrier deck to give me a bit more running room on launch, but keeping the plane from torqueing over on engine run-up was a hair-raising experience!
