I have enjoyed the bomber set up in 1.10. Yet I have the same frustration many buffers have about ability to damage airfields.
The new modeling makes it difficult to take a field down with a bomber(s), as opposed to pre 1.10, negating a strategy of controling the skies by destroying aircraft and support on the ground.
My suggestion is that all bomb craters on an airfiled should cause any plane taking off to be damaged if traveling over a crater, undercarrige, wing damage, destruction by ordnance, etc.
This would allow bombers to carpet bomb a field and make taking off and landing more difficult. For example, having to spawn from the hangar and taxi to a clear spot.
I believe this would enhance gameplay as well as simulation play. The bombers capabilities should be fully utilized, craters from 250+ pound bombs are significant, and damage modeling should reflect that. Lastly, it would allow the bomber to fulfill its roll.
Please respond if you believe the above is feasible or not, thank you.

I can't see craters as ever being able to block planes.
Two reaons,
First, that happens when you get craters on the fields spawn points? You've effectivly shut down the entire field, equivalent to killing all fh and bh's.
Second, craters on a runway would be the only bombing in the entire game worth doing. THe solution here isnt to make bombers better than they used to be for hitting fields. The solution is to make strat bombing worth doing, while slightly improving bombers abilities to hit fields. Bombers hitting a field should be something that is noticed, but a single bomber shouldnt be able to shut the whole thing down.
