This Screenshot was taken by Fellow Shillelagh MonteZuma during the Second Phase of "Coral Sea and the Slot" (Friday TOD) as we attacked a Japanese Task Force.

They don't seem to show up on the film, neither do the undropped bombs lol.

Actually, he ran out of ammo, then jumped out of the plane,  landed on a Zeke, and kicked the pilots ass.

Took the Liberty of playing with this screenie a bit. Its a good one and I think the guys here that are very good at this sort of thing could do heaps with it.  Unfortunately, i'm not LOL. So here is my tard effort :)

Wow SC-Spook, that looks right out of "Victory at Sea" That's probably my favorite retouched screenshot! WTG

Well thanks :)
I expected to get clobbered for botching it up LOL.

I took the original screenshot and opened it with PSP 7.  Then took a shot of it with the Digital Camera (Kodak 3200) but any is just as good or better. I upload the digi camera shot onto the HD and work from that.

Cropped out the outer edges then used the normal PSP filters  such as motion blur, smoothing, black pencil, noise and auto colour balance.

Most of the work is done by the digital Camera. Lighting the pic with the colour balance seems to bring out the rusty look on the wings.

I've no idea what im really doing and never remember from one pic to the next what I did last. Just experiment with everything till something seems suitable.

The Digi camera tho seems to be the deciding factor.  I remembered some guy who flies IL2 doing it and creating some outstanding shots.

Thats a great effort Weave. Very clean and sharp.

We should have more of these threads.  Someone put up a great screenshot and we all see what can be done with it.  All those here have used different methods to get the final result and its interesting to see the different end products. Well done all.
