Title: P47-D30 dive flaps
Post by: SFRT - Frenchy on July 22, 2002, 02:00:43 PM
I was chatting with a WW2 D30 pilot, but he didn't recall having dive flaps on his D30.

Was it standard from factory, remove on the field? Or vice versa? Did he just forgot about it?

Could someone post me a scan from a book talking a bout dive flaps on the D30 please. A diagram would be even better.

My book says Thunderbolt had dive-brake (flap) from P-47D-30 RE.

P-47D-30 RE's Dive-brake
length: 1,016mm
width: 152mm
