Title: Creepy
Post by: moose on September 25, 2001, 07:21:00 PM
Someone told me this -

if you paste the flight number of one of the planes from the WTC disaster into windows and change it to the wingdings font, what do you get?
(not sure if the flight number is valid, could be a hoax but check this out)

If that was a flight number it would either be AA or UA at the beginning, for American or United. Just like all Delta flights start with DL.

So, it's not a flight number.

If it was an aircraft registration number, the first letter or letters, Q or Q3 in this instance, would be a "country code".

For example, all US registered aircraft numbers start with "N" because N signifies US registry. Like N20808 which is a nice BT-13.  :)

There is no "Q" or "Q3" as an International registry code.

Check this page for registry letters:

Once again, it's a hoax. Somebody was playing around in Word and pretending to be Nostradamus or something.

The way that first post is worded, I'm thinking the Feds should be looking for MD-90.

... and I'm not kidding.

That is very creepy, Nash.  I also heard that maybe a week before the WTC disaster, Salman Rushdie was about to embark on a reading tour of bookstores across America, which of course required that he fly across country via the airliners.  Well, Mr.Rushdie had to cancel his tour, because right before it he was to have begun the FAA advised him with great emphasis not to fly.
