I got the ride of my AH career today thanks to HT :) :)
HT made the comment to watch out for a hi-speed P51. (Guess who was testing the me262 FM :) ) After HT flew around for a bit asking who had a hi alt bomber floating around I just off handedly asked if he was giving rides. Yup sure was so off to bishland I went. First time outta nitland since beta I believe. Well it was worth the humilation of being bish for 12 hrs !!! Even got a film of 2 Forts going down in flames ;) :)
1.08 is GUNNA ROCK!

Could I just have a P-51 with that FM and loadout? ;)
-
I will settle for P-51H :D

Oh great a faster better 51 that saw EXTREMLY limited service during the last days of the war.
Good move HTC.
Instead of fixing the fked up planes add more uberness.
-
PDog my guess is that was a Me-262's flightmodel/armament in P-51's skin.
HT tested groundvehicles with B-17's skin. I've heard it looked strange to see buff crawling in a ground.

Er, pdog... when testing a new FM in the MA HTC uses the p-51 a/c model. In this case, to test the Me-262. Which saw extremely limited service in the last days of the war.
-
Pdog I think you misunderstood the post. HT tests new planes FMs in the MA using a P51 usually. I think HT put the FM of a 262 on the P51. HT always anounces his test to the MA so people don't think someone is cheating.
Where are those films Rocket? :D

Ispar I wouldn't say 262 saw extremely limited sevice...

Sorry... but compared to most LW aircraft. I was just irked by the auto-whine response.

That site has few nice Wallpapers (http://www.stormbirds.com/warbirds/calendar/stormbirds_calendar.html) too :)

Did you get a film of me getting shot down rocket? Would love to see it. Btw- the speed of that thing is amazing, hard to track with guns. First time he flew behind me, across my tail at about d450, I only managed one ping on the tail after adjusting, usually would be an easy shot. (He was playing around and tore apart his plane and I got credit for kill, hehe.) Second time he zoomed in on me and tore my plane apart, impressive.

Spitfire Mk.I with fully functioning carburetor cut-out under Neg-G, and Bf-109E-7 with wing mounted 20mms.
Its slow, and would be eaten alive by most every plane.. but meeting a Spit MkI in a Bf-109(and vice versa) would mean joy :D
-
Meteor :)
-
Me262 saw far more then limited sevice.
No P51-H yet, think it should be added in time though as a very expensive perk.
Add Meteor Mk.1, it was the only allied jet to see action, the Mk.III saw service but no action.
No need to perk the meteor though, top speed was just slightly above 400Mph at 10k.
-
Wilbus,
Meteor MkIII did see action.
It was stationed on the continent in March, 1945 and used in strikes on German positions.
I really don't care if it is added or not, I just wanted to clarify its actual use.
In my opinion the Meteor MkI would be a cheap perk, say 10 to 20 points.

Sorry, if the "biggest day" was 38 sorties, that is limited service. No more than 3 or 4 planes serviceable at once before November 1944 is limited service. They built a lot of airframes, but the numbers of planes that were serviceable at any one time were quite small. I guess by LW standards it's extensive service though. :)

Looks like a dildo with 2 vibrators for engines.
Explains why the LuftWaffles want it so bad....

I've never noticed streamers off the wingtips before in AH.
-
Spitfire Mk.I with fully functioning carburetor cut-out under Neg-G, and Bf-109E-7 with wing mounted 20mms.
How about Spitfire IIb with wing mounted 20mm cannon and 109E3?
Alternatively, we could have a fair historical matchup of the Spit I v 109E3/E4, or the Spit II(not b) v 109E7
-
What the heck??Wingtip streamers..?..Kewl stuff HT!
-
First of all, those are condensation trails.
Or vertex trails or something like that.
They are not currently in the game, and that screenshot is very heavily modified.
Our 262 will look nothing like that. That is the 262 from B17-II.
Those wingtip vertices (still don't remember what they are called) were drawn in by Staga.
I can't believe he caught two with that...

Looks like a doctored photo to me SirLoin.

This is what our Me-262 will look like:

Anyone else notice that this particular pilot has more detail than our current pilot model?

They are condensation trails. Wing tip vortices are invisible unless condensation forms in them. :D

I hope the 262 will cost some major perk points otherwise it will ruin the arena...
I saw it ruin the main arena in warbirds .. it was finally removed after a month of ppl complaining about it
-
Bring it.. unperked.
-
Almost right SW but that 262 was taken from "Jane's WW2 fighters".
Contrails would be nice addition too :)

Interesting... it's identical to the one in B17II... them guys must of just stolen that skin from Jane's.. heh.
And contrails!!! That's the word I was looking for! <G>

This one (http://koti.mbnet.fi/staga/kolumbus/wwiiol/wwiiolme2623.jpg) is from Jane's

Errm that pilot kinda looks like Eddie from those old Ironmaiden posters.
Maybe HT is a closet Mosher?
:D
