Title: Is it Just me or do others do this?

Its icon mesmerizes you, like iron to a magnet your drawn to it.
Forget sense and sensibility the deep seeded loathing you feel, you know it must die and with burning disgust you nose down accelerating to the icon of the LA-7.......
Is it just me?:D

Post by: grizz on July 28, 2002, 05:35:21 PM: What is it about the Mossie that everyone seems to follow it around. It's not a perk plane, hell you won't even get many perks for killing it. It's not especially "uber" though the four cannons may make it seem so.

Is it because it's fairly rare in the arena? Easy kill?

It seems everyone drops what they are doing whenever I get into range and end up with a conga line, guys falling all over each other to get the kill. I usually end up rerversing and killing them all. (ok, that last bit is wishful thinking :))

When in a 109, it's all about picking on those navy dweebs cuz they don't have a single plane which can catch me.

Me too, horse meat is great dog food......though i tend to try and fly 'smart' when I'm fighting a Pony, let me park my peepers on a N1k icon, and it's pure balls to the wall aggression....'smart' goes out the window.....prolly why they kill me so much.
Spit icons make me groan, Jugs make me freak out and start lookin' for the rest of the Wolf Pack, any bomber formation makes me drool uncontrollably, but nothin' makes this dog wag his tail in joy more than the sight of a nice shiny Pony to chew on.
The thing I've found with ponies is that there seems to be 2 distinct 'types' that fly 'em......the ultra-newbies who reckon the 'Stang won the war, so I should fly one'.....and the hardcore Pony boys that will either hand you your hide, or make you work damn hard for theirs, either way, engaging them is a hell of a lot of fun. :)

Post by: WldThing on July 28, 2002, 10:47:49 PM: Ahh LW planes for me...Zoom up with my Stang while i see them running, even though they know they cant run, i out turn em and out run em..See them shiver as they see my white belly is what makes me proud to be an American. They try to make you overshoot with their combinations of flaps and turns, barrels, and such, but once u get on their 6, cut your throttle and wait for their puny minds to slow down to a reasonable distance and FIRE, you see your 6x50 cals ripping their plane into shreds, and sending them in a chute, and Saluteing my enemy for a fight well done ;) . Thats what Turns me On, as well as woman.

I have found a new sport though, landing bomber drones. Helpless as baby seals, more fun in clubbing them.

Post by: thrila on July 29, 2002, 07:36:39 AM: For me it's anything LW.:) I like to see it as revenge, whenever i see a couple of 190/109's winging together they usually go for me in my spit first. Although it is quite funny seeing them bug out when they lose their E advantage after B n Z me for 5 mins.

Post by: gofaster on July 30, 2002, 12:22:42 PM: I foam at the mouth when it looks like I'm going to get a bounce on a N1K2 or LA-7 because these two planes are my arch nemesis. I'm usually in a P-51 or F4U, both of which get eaten alive by N1K2s and LA-7s. It also helps that there are a lot of N1K2's and LA-7s out there for the scalping. I used to be worried about Spitfires until I realized their weakneses. Now they're just another plane that will get me a lot of perk points when I kill'em.
