Title: help ! Joystick started spiking ...
Post by: straffo on July 29, 2002, 01:22:47 PM
that's the problem I have :

when I'm near full deflection I got the dreaded "don't move your control..." abomination ...

I've decided to change my stcik curves to have more "physical" feed back on my X36

But on the  Y Axis I m unable to have intermediate position
at 90% deflection I'm at the pos seen in pict 1
at 100% deflection I'm at pos seen on pict 3

But if I try to be at 95 % I got the pict 2 :(

It happen only on the Y axis at either full up deflectio or full down deflection ...

I'm pretty lost what I'm doing bad ?

Wish I could help Straffo, but I'm a CH guy.  No idea what the problem is.

Oh, and just to let you know, I'm gonna hit Pyro up for the Yak-9UT again at the Con. But just realize I'm gonna expect you to help me pay for his "bribe" ;)

straffo, paste these over the last three lines on your stick.cfg and see if they help.

0.45,0.49,0.53,0.57,0.62,0.67,0.73,0.83,0.93,1.00
0.45,0.49,0.53,0.57,0.62,0.67,0.73,0.83,0.93,1.00
0.45,0.49,0.53,0.57,0.62,0.67,0.73,0.83,0.93,1.00

as always, rename your original stick.cfg to stick.bak in case you need to go back to your original stick configuration.

He was quite happy ... I was balanced :D

btw have a nice con :)

Next year I'll try to send something to the con so you can have a french drink ;)

Ok I found the reason I was having trouble : the last slider must be at 100 % !
Any other setting will give spike ...

HT is this the intended behaviour ?
