Very cool. I got 23/24 on "Very Hard" I have no idea how to tell the difference between a Mirage 2000 and a Mirage 4000 lol.

I got 21/24 on very hard. Those 3 were all weird weird cargo planes I had never seen nor heard of before.

Missed:
Ka-25 Hormone (WTF is that thing?)
Saab Draken - (All Swedish planes look alike )
Yak Freestyle - (From a Cockpit view!)
Mirage 4000 - (French - Swedish, not real planes are they?)
Mig-23 (The camo looked all wrong)
Airwolf - Stop Laughing !!!
Patrouille de France - (More French pseudo-planes)

The Ka-25 Hormone (gee thanks nato, nice codename  ) Was the primary ASW Chopper of the Soviet Navy. It, and the later model Ka-27 Helix (that's more like it) are still in use with the Russian navy today, I think.
The Ka-27 (Which looks almost exactly the same) is also used as an airborn radar for the Russians. It's usefull in Over the Horizon targeting, as long as it doesn't venture out too far from the fleets Air defences. They get their squat shape from the fact that they have no tail rotor, and instead use counter-rotating (contra-rotating? My latin is worse than my Russian ;) ) blades to maintain stability.

[edit number mistake]

i didn't take the test

20/24 on very hard. Missed a couple of Soviet planes and a P2V and C-160... neither of which I've ever heard of.

BTW... anyone miss any WW2 fighters? Everything I needed to learn to pass the WW2 portion of that test I learned at AH and WB. ;)

22/24 on very hard.
Couldn't tell the difference between C7 - C123, and B36 - B45...
But I was lucky on some photos too ;)
-
*sigh* 19/24 on very hard :(
-
21 of 24, failed the SH-2 Seasprite, the MiG MAPO 1.42 (WTF is that???) and the Su-37 Terminator (???)
-
21/24 on very hard.
I suck.
-
24/24 on very hard WOOT
Btw this is the Mig 1.42, it's a new mig that's in development and has reached prototype stage. Unfortunantly Russia doesn't have the money to produce it massly for it's Air Force
-
just took it 2 more times, 24/24 each time and on very hard mode, rofl too easy
-
24/24 Very Hard :D
-
BTW This test is pretty stupid as it misidentified a P63 as P39 and a Tu22M Backfire as a Tu160 blackjack... :D
-
Ok I rule you all !!
24/24 100% of the Time !!!
W00T W00T I'm L33T !!

21 out of 24 in VH...
I don't know toejam about cargo planes, and the attack choppers not american or Russian are alien to me.
(I missed two cargo planes and one attack chopper I'd never seen before :))
-
"This is THE way to test your aviation knowledge."
Hehe, I think that test thingy is pretty far from that. :)
Didn't try the lower levels but even that "Very Hard" level is VERY easy IMO.
And it's true that this test doesn't know the designations of the planes it's asking.
For example only possible option of the four was Stratofreighter while tanker boom was clearly visible...so the plane was stratotanker.

Looks like a knock-off of the F-22 Lightning stealth fighter, but with a Russian interpretation from poor microfilm photos smuggled across a border. :)

it actually looks like a ripoff of some other stuff (note the intakes that look a lot like the Eurofighters)
Well the more strength for mother Russia the better :)

21/24 on very hard. Missed the Su-37 Terminator (hey, it looks like an Su-27!), the EH101 Merlin (thought it was a CH-46...duuuuhhhh on my part), and the Yak-141 Freestyle--I thought it was a Mig-23 picture with the aspect ratio wrong. :)

24/24 Very Hard x2
Noticed this pic: It's a Harvard conversion aint it, not a A6M

IIRC the ONLY legitimate fully restored A6M flying today is at the Planes of Fame Museum in Chino Ca.
