Game play aside. The one area I have long felt that the WB players have excelled, was the OT forum at agw. With the influx of new WB players, I have not seen a corresponding increase of intelligent posts, in our OT forum. Please check the BBS guys, OT is there.

Be glad you don't have MG :p

Yeah but we do have Lazs.

No way! Lazs is a fricken angel compaired to MG, who needs to get a new and better OS :D

I still chuckle when I watch the movie clip in this (http://www.hitechcreations.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=60210) thread :) Mac gamers...poor souls we should pity them, donate PC's to their groups and try to re-introduce them back into society :)
-
LMAO.
your not heping:) I was sincere in my first post.

MG and Cabby !! (shudder) are you nuts,
On a serious note, agw is independant, so when WB players move to AH (me included) they still use the OT in agw.
And quite frankly it would take more than MG and Cabby to lift the standard of posts at AH :D

alt.warbirdsiii.com is independant? You may want to look up the definition of "independant".
I've never seen HTC remove threads from the O'Club... and I could probably count on one hand the threads that were locked (usually about 200 posts too late).
Basically... its not how the bbs is ran or who is running it in this case. Its just how familiar you are with those posting there.

AGW is independant, it's not run by IEN. It's a different message board than the "official" WB message board accessible from their webpage. I guess everyone had been on AGW for so long they stay there. You can't register though, maybe they are waiting for it to die?
Edit-
I guess (after visiting their actual website) there is need of clarification-
They have links to both, under "community" on their main page.
One goes to bbs.warbirdsiii.com
The other link goes to AGW.

I don't know why iEN has not tried to encourage players back to their own board and keep it all under one roof like HTC does. Although for all intents and purposes this is the iEN board. The WB team tend to ignore their own board and AGW is moderated by an iEN employee and you're not allowed to talk about the 'other' sims in the general forum.
-
Greese... I'm pretty sure AGW is ran on iEN servers. That happened the same time it went from agw.dogfighter.com to agw.warbirdsiii.com. Its not independant... though it is not managed with great scrutiny by iEN. I believe Argo does a good enough job that iEN intervention isn't necessary... but it is a possibility. AGW is not independant as long as it relies on iEN resources.

OK, let's get this totally straight :
AGW is hosted on an ien server, Argo decides totally what goes on and what is in it, posts don't get deleted, they may get moved or closed but never deleted.
AGW is totally independant, no fuss, no worries, no doubt. Go try to register an account at AGW, you can't. Ask ien why not, they will tell you go ask argo, we just host it.
It tells you something about ien, go squeak, whine call em cun** and wank**s, they won't do a damn thing, why ? because it's argos board, and you know something else, you can do the same thing on their own board. Why ? because it's a bulletin board.
However, this board !!! last month HTC closed it down because of too many posts regarding the latest release, it may have been only closed for a few hours but it was CLOSED, full stop, period. You were gagged.
AGW ensures that no matter what, the players have a say, When you try the same here, forget it, you have two choices, toe the line or shut up. HTC needs a board that is not moderated by HTC, savvy ? doubt it because the majority here are so far up HT's bellybutton he couldn't turn around without being whipped in the balls.
Don't get me wrong I like AH, it gives me more that warbirds did towards the end of my time there.
I will now compose my own replies to this post
"you banana, we have more players that WB"
"A nice cup of shut the diddly up"
"We get more warbirds players than warbirds get from us"
"Get lost amazinhunk"
and so on

"I've never seen HTC remove threads from the O'Club"
And in my own English style, you tosser

"I'm first....BACK OFF ya fuggers.."
Wip I agree with you that there is a high proportion of vocal "kissies" on the board. Some sort of a cult I'm led to believe.
Strange coming to a new board after a couple of thousand posts and 3 or 4 years at AGW.
Took me a while, and you know what I found ?? You dismiss the kissy posts, and what your left with is a good board with good interaction between a core of board potatos :D
BTW I "think" if I remember correctly the board was shut because of an overload on the server.
Outright objective criticism does tend to bring out the fanboys. Some have badges ;)
But after playing the game for a few months, I can't think of a thing to squeak about. Met some great people, havin a good time..
Maybe after a few years I too will become a kissy.
If I do...
PLEASE put a bullet in my head
"Ok..ok I'm done..."
"QUIT PUSHIN !!"
Here they come Wipass..
I smell incense..
...and they're chanting
:D

You guys have really big worries in your life
"My BB is better that your BB"
"Yeah? My BB host is cooler that your BB host"
"Yeah? My BB server have thiiiiis big harddisk!"
"Hah! My BB..."

AFAIR the O'Club here is for topics about other games; same goes with AGW OffTopic ("Use this to discuss stuff totally unrelated to Warbirds. Other games, sims, etc".
-
Staga> when AGW was hosted at Dogfighter Argo said that topics about any of the other online sims was fine in the general forum aslong as it did'nt turn into a flamefest, since moving to iEN servers and having an iEN employee moderate AGW more topics have been moved than ever before. If that's the way they want to do things now then fine but lets drop the premise that AGW is still as independant as it ever was shall we?
For what it's worth I don't know why iEN has not encouraged more people to use their own BBS and keep it all under one roof. They upgraded their BBS software to a better variety but their own employee's often ignore iEN's forums and go straight to AGW with announcements. As far as I'm concerned HTC does a fair handed job on the forum's and the only warning were given when things really started to get out of hand and rather disgusting language started to creep in with a few users. Contrast that to iEN who closed my forum account when I made a light hearted joke at early WBIII shots.

revvin,
they closed your account at ien ? the miserable gits, but it does show the benefit of having an independant BB though.
I accept that the "moving" of posts may have increased on agw but I would imagine that the deleting of threads has not.
One question though revvin, do you still fly Wb and or wwIIonline ? I have accounts in both but spend 95 % of my online time in AH.
regards

I have accounts in Aces High, Warbirds and World War II Online actually.

Why? so you can slag off the team? that's all AGW is now. I fear for new players finding AGW it's more like the wild west now. The small number of players that stayed with WB; generally the pom pom wavers jump on anyone who dares to criticize anythign about Warbirds, even more so than if you posted somethign like that on the official boards. I really believe the WB community would be better served from one official board like AH and WW2OL, infact I made the effort to post stuff to the iEN board, made suggestions, tried to start discussion on things such as ideas on how to improve the bombers in WB but the WB team ignore their own board.
The 'HTC takes it to the next level' has also been moved to off topic, guess iEN did'nt like such a glowing reference even from die hard WB players propping up the top of the general forum.
