Title: And while in Chicago, please remember to drive safely.
Post by: Thrawn on July 31, 2002, 04:58:30 PM
CHICAGO - Two Chicago men whose van crashed into pedestrians died after a group of bystanders beat them with bricks.

Jack Moore, 62, and Anthony Stuckey, 49, died in hospital Tuesday. Autopsy results showed the men died from multiple injuries and blunt force trauma.

Both deaths were ruled homicides.

Chicago police say the driver apparently lost control of the van and crashed into a group of pedestrians in the city's South Side. Three women were injured and are in hospital. Two of them are in serious condition.

Imagine the news coverage if it was a mob of white people that killed two black people...

I have not seen this reported too widely and its not on the front pages of CNN, this usually happends when blacks commit crimes on whites or when certain groups are involved in certain acts. Like when that truck full of illegals killed a bunch of people driving the wrong way on a freeway. Wasnt evet that widely reported either.

Now again I ask you if the two in the van were white, and the ones who beat them to death black?

THAT!!!!

Ah. :o

Actually it didn't mention colour anywhere in the article.  I would take that to mean that all the participents were white.

Edit: Although it is a CBC article and they probably wouldn't mention colour.

thought the same thing ...

looked up the story in about a dozen different sources. NONE state the race of the drivers, wonder why

names like this:
Jack Moore, 62, and Anthony Stuckey, 49
my guess is they ain't black, can't think of any blacks named Jack.
Amazing how that "hate crime" stuff only goes one way.........

So... just checking...

Its OK to beat someone to death if you think they really deserve it....

But its not OK for a Cop to strike someone no matter how much they deserve it.

Gotcha.

Apparently, it's not OK to beat bad drivers to death...

if the drivers were black and the killers white then the killers would have been charged with a "hate crime".    This is much worse than the normal love crimes that we had become accustomed to in the past.

most news sources leave out any reference to race if there is any brutality associated with the minority race.   photos and video don't however... Photos and video are not needed if the brutality is unquestionably white.   there are no restrictions in that case.

I read somewhere (can't remember the link) that all parties involved in this sad incident were black.  The van occupants were older (62 and 50), and the group that beat them to death were younger, ages not specified.
