..and so began our fantastic journey. Open Beta was released, and HT's second flightsimm project was underway. Here we are 2 years later anticipating another big version update.

From one of the fellas who logged on the first night of open beta, I've had a blast so far. The game's come a long way and is just beginning to hit it's stride.

I have been here since Beta 1, though I started in mid-October and not the first night.  The difference of 2 years is remarkable, and what is coming soon is looking to be spectacular to say the least.

HTC, I am not quite sure I should thank you for creating something more addicting than nicotine, heroin, and cocaine combined.   :D

Seriously, thanks, it has been a great ride so far, and the road ahead looks to hold one magnificent journey that I am very much looking forward to.

Been here since first day, even first hour. Fell in love with it right away, not to mention how impressed I was when I saw the graphics in AH compared to the other sim I was flying.

It's truely a great sim, nomather if I whine or not I will allways think so  :)

Now, where's my 262?  ;)

I've been here happily since my lawn darting escapades during the first night (US time) on Day One.

Don't remember when I started but 2 years sounds about it. Came in as Yellojkt. The thing that I remember that caught my I was the Yellow tracers that stream lined from the ack up to the enemy A/C. What a awesome sight.  :)

Original Alpha tester, here.  I remember my first flight.  I wondered why my wings kept disappearing, then I noticed the red icons.  Head-bob was quite an experience.  But the thing that sold me was the flight model.  Even then, it was superior to WB.

Forgot what Beta version I started on, but it was sometime in mid to late October.. 0.3 something. It was/is my first online flight sim experience, shooting at planes controlled by ppl not by AI.  There is still much for me to learn (there should always be stuff to learn  :) ).  From a handful of planes to about 50 planes and vehicles/ships, it's been a wonderful ride.  And it'll only get better.  Thanks and Happy Birthday  :)

 Another Betazoid here. Early October 1999 Version 0.36 if I remember correctly. One thing I do remember for certain though was the Ack, We have it easy now.    :eek:

I came from AW.......and was WOWed!!!!!!!
I must say, HT and crew have done great things with this sim.

Ah, yes, I remember it well.

I know it's been a long time and I know that I still suck so I looked into the database and see that my first listing was in Beta Tour 3.  Anyone know when that was?  I also think there should be a special award for those of us loyal Mullets who have been here with the same nick since the very beginning.

It's been fun for me if not for the wife.

Joined the beta here about 1 month into the life of the product, late October 1999.  Even in those early days, its potential and performance was far above all competitors.  Just keeps getting better!  The release of 1.08 should be a watershed event for the entire online aircombat sim industry.

Started on Day One    :)

Haven't regretted a single day or a single payment when it went pay to play.  The price drop was a welcome surprise.

Thank you HiTech, Pyro, Natedog, Superfly, Ronni and Yankee, for all of your hard work! It has provided immense enjoyment and an escape from day to day life.  Oh, how I love to log on and put the stresses of everyday life in the back of my mind, and the stresses of AH nearer the front   ;)

"Happy Birthday #2"....Keep up the great work!!!!!!!!!!!  Best of luck on all future releases  :D

Here from the tour 1. I clearly remember my first kill, I was in a spit IX, he was in p51 and were landing, got him from 1.1k with long, long spray and pray.

And I am still a dweeb after those 2 years

caught a few months in the tale end of beta here...thanks to Exile for introducing me, <S>

CRAP, this means i've known fatty for more than a year....well, sinclair is still a hottie, and there are plenty of wings and empty cans lying around the FDB latrine....think i'll stick around a little longer  :D
