I was wondering if anyone had any favorites among the new planes introduced in the 1.10 release, I know that I have a favorite that in my estimation, will prove to be as dangerous as the Niki. I use it for everything, fighter and attack. Despite its lack of speed, even I have managed a 78/19 record with it. Furthermore, it is currently holding a significant K/D edge over the Spitfires in the MA (check the stats for yourself).
Here it is:

I've really enjoyed flying the FM-2 and the A-20.

P-40E (easy choice)
The FM-2 comes in a distant second.

PS...
The FM-2 is far and away the deadliest of the current crop. Hell... its one of the deadliest furball fighters in the arena now.

Why the FM2, Its eny is lower than the F4F and its only packing 4 50s....
Id take the F4F over FM2 anyday..

Fm2 followed by P40e
Nefari..
letse see.... Fm2 faster, better climb, better jabo load.. and I find those 4 guns not lacking in hitting power at all... I've landed 9 kill runs in the thing. Got 3 lancs last night (already had 1 kill) and still had over 500 rnds left...

Agreed FM-2. It's a good furballer, quite deadly. It's a small target, very maneuverable. The guns don't have insta-kill power, but with 430 rpg, it's got the ammo endurance to score multiple kills (I've gotten 4 or 5 with it once). N1Ks and Spit Vs that get slow in a furball had better watch their backs, an FM2 will chew them up if they aren't careful.
The A-20G's a ton of fun too. 4000 pounds of bombs, 6 .50s with 350 rpg, and 305-310 mph on the deck. What's not to like? :)

Well being green to the sim all the planes are new to me. Really love the F4U here, it's a total A/C here instead of the one on the other side of the fence. Gave up 3 years in 190's for a "real" Corsair here :)
Favorite "Let's fly something different" plane is the 205 or the Sea Fire.
With my marksmenship the FM2 is a stretch. Cuz I NEED six :D
With four, I'm tossin plinkers.
That and all my opponents bust out laughin when they see me comin..
Makes it hard to concentrate with them all BRUHAHAH'in while I vainly try to kill them...
BTW thanks Widewing for those weekly updates on your score.
I find it one of the high points of reading your posts (http://www.moviefanonline.com/cgi-bin/ultimate/ubb/urp.gif)

FM2 or F4F are interesting planes, great for events. They try to kill me alot but I have come to largely ignore the slow turtles. :)

Agreed. What a sweet plane.

F4U-1 is the only plane I can work up a good score in. I tend to get killed doing ground attack work in the other planes. The F4U-1 doesn't have rockets, so I usually only uncork it for air to air work and don't get nailed by uber-gv's like my other rides do (tho I did manage to get myself killed while strafing a town last night).

My favorite are Widewing's posts themselves.
He always finds a way to brag about his score, no matter what the intial topic is...
:D

i like the a6m2 it might be slow not too good aginst most of what u run into in the MA but aginst the planes of equal time frame is a good fighter i enjoy flyin aginst p40 f4f's and fm2's
although i have problems with the fm2 thats one tricky bird to bag

I think you could generate a good score with the FM-2 as well. However, it is not the ride you want to be in facing a fast machine like a Mustang, Dora, Corsair or Typhoon when alone, or on the deck. There simply isn't enough speed to allow you to fight effectively in the vertical. They will simply boom and zoom you till your luck runs out. More than one fast enemy is really big trouble. That said, in a low-level furball, the FM-2 is a real killer.
If I had to fly just two types, I'd opt for the F4U-C/D and FM-2 for everything. A mixed group of these two types would be devastating at field capture. The Corsairs pound everything into rubble and the Wildcats snuff out the Spits and Zekes that get up.

popeye has 179 kills and has been killed 52 times in the FM2.

My favorite is Brewster!
Ooops... Maybe in v1.11

I love fighting n1ks in the fm2, almost all of them will try to outturn you. ;)
The hurricane IIc, zero, or a well flown E-fighter will ruin your day though.

Actually, I find its great for air-to-ground work because of its slow speed. I'm in rocket range longer, its a stable platform at low speeds, it can carry two bombs capable to taking out a town building or two, and the four .50s are good enough to kill autoflak. Also, it doesn't compress as badly as the P-38 does, and since the FM-2 is fairly slow, I don't mush it in to the ground on pull-up like I've done with the Corsair and Mustang. On the downside, GV's tend to eat it up, as do the fast-movers overhead.

agree with the a20/fm2 crowd
