Title: My Con Experience.............by Rude

It began as most gatherings do, folks busily doing what was necessary. Once things settled down, everyone socialized, got to know one another, teased each other, laughed at each other and of course played the game.

I went with Toad and Milo, both squadmates and met up with Thunder once on site....we set up together which was fun for us.

When I met Hooligan, the first words out of his mouth were...."I want to get a picture of you TAS guys...just stand up on your chairs so that you can maintain you alt advantage". I like this guy alot:)

I met Lazs and to everyones horror, I liked him as well. I wasn't really suprised at all by him...had a feeling all along that he was genuine. I like and respect him alot, inspite of the harrassment he sends my way:)

The FDB's are a fun luvin bunch....I can say it all with the following...Fatty's gunsite is a smiley face...good guys all of them:)

I could go on and on, but I'll cut to the quick....

Without exception, all of these con goers were great guys....each with their own distinct personality and manner. All brought together by a silly game...kinda crazy imho.

I know this....since meeting all of them, AH will never be the same for me. The next time I shoot one of them down, it won't be the same as it was in the past.....not that I won't enjoy it, it will just be different:)

Thanks to Dale and his gang for building something that this tired old guy can enjoy....they deserve alot of credit....they are committed to their product and customers....rare these days.

And in closing, I just want to confirm the following....

DREX IS A MACHINE!!!

If 5 Brits made it this year (one from Germany and one from Holland)...then YOU have NO excuse! ;)

Toad was extremely cool...we had a bit of a go at each other on the boards just before the Con - an argument that I lost btw - but he came right up to me, shook my hand, and we had a good laugh about it at the Con.
