anyone figure this one out?
I looked up previous posts but did not find a solution.

Hey virage,
Are the buttons seen and working in windows?
-
I use this joystick, and my buttons work just fine.
Just trying to help.

Thnx for the fast reply.
Yes, the buttons light up on the Gaming Options/Properties test
-
Give this a try,
Go to c:\programfiles\htc\aceshigh and rename the settings folder to settings1
Then launch the game again. Choose your normal video settings. Go offline. Bring up the clipboard and choose joystick select joystick.
In the middle you should see the MS stick. At the bottom click on set all inputs and set all buttons. Go into calibrate and calibrate the stick. Open the stick mapper and push the buttons to see if they light up.

I followed your steps, but still no luck. The buttons 0-5 are the only ones listed.

Try mapping the buttons in MS software. Here is a thread where it seemed to help some people.

That did the trick. Profiling the 7 and 8 buttons to AH keystrokes within the Sidewinder Control panel allows me to use them in game.
Thnx for the help!
