Strange thing for you to post, sand. Looking at them just makes me want to see lots of pictures of dead ragheads.

I guess that about 60-70% of the toejam I post is to incite a reaction and spool up the right.
This isn't one of 'em.

you're confusing him.
-
Incredible. How did he kept his lenses and camera mechanics clean in that cloud of dust?
-
thanks for the link
amazing shots
we need them aired nightly as a reminder to those who have already forgotten those who were lost
-
How did he die?
-
The second tower that fell crushed him, I believe.

Curiosity killed the cat.

He was killed by terrorists.
He was more like collateral damage I think.

yeah right, 110 story buildings just fall down on their own, everyday
He was killed by terrorist committing murder - don't believe the building would have fallen and his death occurred otherwise
-
Jochen,
the intent was to kill as many Americans as possible. He was another casualty that the terrorists were successful in killing. They were hoping for the buildings to fall over horizontally not vertically, as to kill many more. This was the attempt in 1993, and again in 2001. To say it was collateral is simply ignorance at its finest moment.

I would agree that curiosity killed the cat.
Considering how he could have stayed few blocks away, but chose to go nearly underneath..
but like said by many war photographers, it doesn't seem so scary through the lens - until you get hit.
-
Rip, you missed that Commie bastard Jochen's point entirely. That's why he gets "Commie Bastard" attached to his handle. Frequently.........

The reason I wrote "He was killed by terrorists." was that i felt the "curiosity" quip was a little out of line. I guess it is still a little fresh for me to be making jokes about it.
My question to Jochen would be "Who exactly weren't collateral damage?"
The folks in the building that fell? The folks on the floors above who burned? How about those poor souls who jumped? I guess the NYFD was all collateral damage too huh?
Idiotic statement if I ever heard one!

Jochen, every person that didn't perish due to that, is collateral damage. A little piece of most humans not "directly affected" had piece of them ripped from their hearts when that happened. Yeah, I cried when they showed the funeral of the chaplin. Had some water works going too. But IMO, everyone was collateral damage.

It isn't funny. Midnight As much as you want to joke about it, you have the sense to not joke about it.
